VM32 Mini Mill Tramming Ramblings

Hi, I have what seems to be the same machine and noticed thaty you hit the drawbar with a hammer. Does the drawbar not loosen the collet with the use of a wrench which is how my machine works?

Hey, thanks for your comment. It sounds like you might have an R8 taper, which it a much steeper taper angle than what I have in my machine which is Morse Taper 3. MT3 has a really shallow taper, and needs tapping out. The MT3 tapers will generally hold themselves in tightly to do most mill work without even needing the drawbar! :)
