Chevalier aged like a very fine Port Wine. Becoming better over time. While his voice might be changing, his charm and musicality improved as years went by. Thank you for this great video.

Oh my goodness. Who else could have sung to The Queen Mother with such love and devotion on his face. It reminds me of my age, it also reminds me that The Royal Variety Now, and I’ve watched a little tonight 2021, Will never capture the moments of the stars of yesteryear. Why? Because there simply aren’t any anymore

They will not pass this way again. Today's actors are merely shadows. They could not hold a candle to the great stars of yesteryear.

How times have changed! I can remember the furore in the British press when this aired on TV, attacking Chevalier for breaking protocol and addressing HM the Queen Mother from the stage! Today, the British Royal family are constantly attacked by the British press! Delghted to see this rare clip which I have not seen since 1961. I hope the rest of the show survives - it was a great event. Thank you.
