Facebook now has Live Events instead of scheduled streams. How do I pick the Live Event in vMix Social? It is not showing up in the Find Posts drop down selections.

nice! very handy for some upcoming projects :D would it be possible that the comments could be editable before displaying or a table with a list of "find/replace" items so that we could say...replace profanities with "#$$#@" etc?

There's no search function aside from the interface, but you can edit messages before airing. You'd just send the comment via vMix Social, but not have it trigger the overlay. When the content was in vMix, you could then open the title editor and edit the Message before overlaying.

I love VMix and works perfectly with our setup and what we want to. I just want to know if there is an option for a ChatBox on your stream that pulls in live comments on your stream from different Social Media pages as running Comments.... like the chatbox you get in the twitch stream etc.

Please make a video for streaming to twitch, I log in my account on twitch via Vmix and then I wait for it to select a server however we get immediate issues with buffering it only does this on Twitch. Please also let me know if Instagram live streaming is something that Vmix will consider for the future

The comments absolutely needs to be editable before being send. This is actually mandatory for the majority of my clients. Typos and spelling mistakes have to be corrected before broadcast...Is there a way to do this?

Yes, so you would send the content from vMix Social, but don't trigger the overlay. When the content is in vMix, just right-click the title and go to the Title Editor. Then you can edit the Message. Once done, just overlay the title.

@@vMixhd Yes I know that's the workaround. But in my particular case, the moderators are the ones doing the screening and correcting, and they do it remotely over a dydns that I have setup. While I do a shit load of other stuff. I sold them the idea just to realize it was not possible. It seemed that this would be an obvious feature. I must say it is a bit frustrating.

No. I don't believe there is. The browser is used for moderation and so you can select a specific comment. You could set vMix Social to show all of your comments and then press a shortcut to overlay your social title. You wouldn't be able to moderate them though.

If the stream is appearing on your page, then you should be able to get the comments after the stream starts.

I've tried several times now but the social application always shows "Not Running" even though vMix is running. I thought I had to be streaming or recording for it to work but it still doesn't. I even turned off my firewall but it still doesn't work. I just installed it a few days ago so it shouldn't be having any issues. EDIT: Noticed the hamburger menu in the lower right corner is red and the other buttons in this area aren't but I have no clue what that means. I tried starting a new preset. The red goes away but vMix social still shows "Not Running" even after leaving the social window open for several minutes. I have vMix 24.0.0.72 and vMix Social 6.0.0.16.

Facebook has really locked down their Privacy Policies over the last 2 years and that's included Instagram. Unfortunately they blocked pretty much all API access to any Instagram information, so we can't use it for Social anymore. We would have Instagram support if we could!

hey... i tried to use vmix social for a livestream yesterday with twitch... but it was not working... no comments arrived in the web viewer. we used vMix only to run the show... the stream was done by a other computer via NDI. should vMix social work always or only if vMix it self streams the output to twitch? we had several comments but nothing in vMix social... :(

Can you create animated templates in after effects that can be dynamically populated in Vmix? I want some animated lower thirds that are a bit more dynamic than the simple animations from GT Title Designer.

You could use After Effect to produce a basic title and them import that into the GT titler as an Image Sequence- kzbin.info/www/bejne/paikaah6o6uUfZI. Then you could add customisable text fields for editing in vMix.

Hi, unfortunately there isn't a way to retrieve personalised comments from Facebook Groups. This is a part of FB's privacy policy and we can't change that.

This could've been a great feature if it works as you said. Unfortunately it doesn't!! I tried using it several times during the past week, it just failed me every time! Streamyard social & Restream social ALWAYS WORK PERFECTLY! 1. It does not work with KZbin more than few minutes only, then it disconnect with errors that I need to wait after midnight Pacific time to reconnect!! 2. It only work for 1 page only of Facebook, I was multi streaming to 3 pages and 1 personal account. 3. It only work with Facebook pages that I have "admin" access not "Editor".... again Streamyard and Restream works perfectly with all!! 4. I was never able to view the social tap on iPad on the same local network, I tried like 100 times several days... no luck 5. When I press "Send" it does send SOMETIMES and it doesn't send all the times.... With all these problems, I can't see that this feature even exist. I really wanted it and needed it to work, but it just didn't, I'm not criticizing vMix, it is a great streaming software, but it fails wit social....
