I spend good money on a complicated piece of software with no real hands-on video. I don't understand any of this crap. You say easily. I am lost. Hi, you always have 4 overlay channels to be used, so to adjust their position and transition you just need to go into the overlay settings shown. Then any of your inputs can be placed into an overlay channel by pressing 1-4 beneath. Yes, you could create images or videos and add them to your vMix production. You can also use the GT title designer to import elements and create titles. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m562lJ17irulgMU

May I offer a tip on making these tutorials? We don't need to see Tim's face as much as we need to see the vMix interface so as to see what Tim is doing with the mouse pointer. In particular, we need time (a couple seconds) to spot the mouse pointer on the screen when Tim moves it to a feature in the interface that he's talking about. So you need to cut to the interface SOONER to give us sufficient time to spot the mouse pointer. Then you need to leave the interface on the screen long enough for us to see what is being clicked, and the effect of that action. Of course, it would be even better if you used one of the methods Windows offers for highlighting the mouse pointer -- like trails. As long as we can HEAR Tim, we don't need to see his face; we only need to see the vMix user interface.

Specifically, this entire video hinges on 3:30, where Tim says "so now I'm going to go back to overlays", not making clear *that's a button on the screen* -- I had to watch that 4 times to see that he was clicking a button in the lower right corner of the screen.

Wait....so when you made your title (box #7 in your video) and assigned it to #1 button, does that mean on ALL other inputs (?) boxes, when you click ANY #1, that title fades in? Meaning, that one title, assigned to button #1, always shows up anywhere you click on the #1 button? How do you remember what 'thing' is assigned to which numbered button? 1, 2, 3, and 4?

Any of the inputs can be put in the overlay channels. These are used for temporary overlays such as titles.

I use ppt input form my church streaming for hymns lyrics I also creat an overlay for the streamed output And I also use as the same ppt while in the overview as full screen output for projecting the lyrics on the walls for those at church It works very well EXCEPT it adds a distortion to the audio line What am I doing wrong?
