VNV NATION - Nova Reaction with Mike & Ginger

I'm happy I found your channel - I've never seen VNV Nation reacted to before, and they're one of my favorite synthpop groups, been listening to them for a very long time. Last time I saw them, Ronan was fighting a cold, and had to end the show early. One of the greatest things about VNV Nation, is their fans - even though the show had to end early, nobody complained, nobody whined, we all just cheered for Ronan and wished him well, and were excited for them to come back. He was so distraught, because he felt really bad about not finishing the show, but we were just happy to have even half a night with him and VNV Nation. I love this band, and Ronan genuinely loves his fans. Next time they come back to St Petersburg, FL, it will be amazing, and we'll have twice as many beach balls (as is tradition) as usual, to make up for it. I HIGHLY recommend some of their older stuff - it's more old school darkwave... with something like Darkangel (kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnbLaKunjKh5mrc), or the first track of theirs that I ever heard (found randomly on some guy's Napster server, back in the day) - Kingdom (kzbin.info/www/bejne/aniae3mAd5plmdk).

When concerts can be held again this is a must! I saw them in Boston and personally had had a bad year. When I went to the show and saw this song in particular, it just filled me with such uplifting pure happiness that I had been needing. Music is the universal language and I’m so happy you’re getting into this style! 🤘🏻🖤

Wonderful reaction of a beautiful song. Love your reaction, especially your smile seeing all the phone-flashlights, and the way you are so open minded to all kinds of music, even uncommon styles like the Dark or Gothic Scene. Just look at all the happy and smiling people that celebrate their time on this concert. Celebrating and enjoying the moment, calm and peaceful. It shows that a lot of the prejudices, that a lot of people unfortunatly have about the Goth-Scene...us... are absolutely wrong! I would love to see your opinion to one special song. It's called "Love me to the end" from the band "Deine Lakaien" from the concert "20 years of electronic avantgarde". These usually make elektronic "Dark Wave" sounds, but this was a special concert with an orchestra and i guess you 2 would like it very much! Greetings from Germany and stay safe and healthy! Your English is way better than my German. No worries. I used to be large into the Goth scene, and Mike’s old favorites are in the old New Wave era. So goth is not a stretch for us, at all. We have done one of Deine Lakain’s songs, but he came along a month or so later, and dinged us for copyright. It’s unfortunate, because we really enjoyed it. But we only get 3 strikes and our entire channel gets shut down. So, we won’t be doing any more from them. - G

Having met the them when they came to Montreal i have to say they are really down to earth and were grateful of the appreciation fans have of the lyrics. 'It's easy to make sounds, but not so easy to give them meaning.' Ronan's words to me.

That was soo cool. I've never come across that recording of the song before so that was really awesome and your reaction was wonderful. It is one of those songs that I put under the title of 'how could you NOT like it?'. You you will, unfortunately, not find many videos for their music since they just don't do videos. A couple of live shows, Where is the future, Wait and that's about it. Others are all fan made and be honest, with that much talent, why wouldn't you? Thanks for another great reaction.
