Loved this. Haven’t come across this channel before. Thanks for the great info and reasonable stances for reasonable people (I tend to come across a lot of KZbinrs talking optimising everything 1billion percent whereas i think most people just want to exercise and stay healthy, rather than compete at body building) cheers!

From someone who’s done Tabata religiously. Tabata is 20/10 x 8 rounds which equals 4 mins of all out max effort. Not 20/20

800 lunges?! Uh 200 is probably my max, are people really doing 800?

I worry about the podcast's focus on perfectionist fitspo. Maybe you can also focus on female mental health? There is SO MUCH social media emphasis on what and how a woman should be doing to look a certain way (often cloaked in 'how to be healthy') and not enough emphasis on how to work internally and within a community to be 'better'

If you are sore for more than 1 day after exercise, it’s probably your carbs are too high. Eat real food & you don’t need to eat breakfast etc. Try being nutritionally ketogenic OMAD and if you are snacking, you are not eating a proper diet per your hunger. 😅Carb addiction is real & honey is just sugar& is NOT a healthy alternative.

Interesting. This is the first I've heard anything about carbs affecting DOMS. What data is there for this?
@gregbulman11512 ай бұрын
@@Cataphoric559there won’t be any evidence. Just anecdote as per almost all hardcore exclusion diets with their hardcore advocates.

It is absolutely TRUE!Who are you? I’ll check your channel. I’m on a carnivore Lion Diet high fat and ever since my recovery from my hard CF workouts are amazing.

@@gregbulman1151 I’ve been apparently “married” to a high carb Standard American Diet then to a high carb Vegetarian diet then to a honey in place of sugar only Mediterranean diet then kidney stones arthritis sleep apnea NAFLD. This “anecdotal” lifestyle change saved my life & now back & take no meds & Zone2 c HIITS 3x wk & mHR is the same as it was 30 yrs ago. Listen to your body. I was a semi pro triathlete in the 1990’s and had a Maffetone diet but still put on too many carbs. It’s hard to get studies as only corporations fund things to sell athletic candy bars. Look up Dr Tim Noakes and the research currently available. Dr Shawn Baker as well as the old Diet Doctor & newer Metabolic Mind videos. Find what WORKS for you & don’t put up barriers to change if you need to. I wish I knew this 30 yrs ago. N=1
