Korean Changgo Drum Solo

Sul-changgo is a musical composition that integrates farmers' band rhythms from different areas in Korea. The piece starts with the slow rhythm of Da-Seu-Rim, and eventually leads to the fast, high-energy rhythm of Hwi-Mori. Sul-Changgo is a great example of the broad rhythmic range and varying rhythms of the changgo used in a traditional farmers band.
Sebastian Wang is the Director of the Korean Percussion Ensemble at the University of Maryland.

This Drum is very hard to play and learn. The drum is called a Janggu or Changgo its a south korean drum played in contemporary art traditional folklore and court music. ive been learning to play and there are so many rules to this drum wonderful job Sebastian Wang way to Represent our culture and the South Korean music

It does. If you look at his right foot, it's hold on to the rope portion of the drum and preventing it from rolling.
