@@aonetruthr absolutely. The whole voiceover business is remote right now and actually has been even before pandemic. You must train with a reputable coach. We have tons of interviews on our channel with some of the best coaches so do it out and reach out to one of them.

I thought "Steve Bloom? How can I learn anything from this, when he's already perfection?"...but I learned so much! You've introduced a mindset in me where I understand the need for direction, even if I'm on my own. That does SO much for confidence! Just try something, evaluate objectively but nicely, try another take with a slight adjustment. It's not failure, it's a process. Also, I didn't feel like my promo-voice was consistent or convincing, but I was trying it out in tandem with Steve during the video, and I suddenly found it...that space where it sounds natural and great 😮 I had been trying to milk it too much before, like you said, so when I relaxed and gave it a few tries, it clicked! Thank you SO MUCH for this ❤

Chuck your musician's ears are so valuable in the studio. I watching this and it's like a class...I do the same with the waveform on my Adobe Audition DAW. And you're so right!!! You're a very good producer too...your God given gift...you hear but you improve the end result by your coaching skill. You've done this so much, I'm so impressed at your work ethic. You advice is so valuable...not sounding like the guy who did the spot....right on!!! They already have the guy...same for music when we try to get too sure of ourselves...we blow the whole thing into ego, not developed talent and ability to take good direction from people like yourself. With a Director like that, anybody is going to sound great. Just because the Director says it sounds great. This is really fun to watch. Having been in a booth a couple of times, with great direction, that looks like a lot of fun to do some more of. Thank you for this inspiration. 16:50-17:34; a re-direct conceived of, and inserted by the talent. In reading up about, and learning about the arts of communication using the English language, in addition to sidenotes, and context, punctuation is something that I rely upon to guide how I would voice something. If by changing punctuation, The flavor of a read is changed. Is that something you submit as an option when you’re self producing, next to the author’s punctuation style? How much latitude does the talent have? 17:41, he crosses his arms. It changes his presentation subtly.

I knew he voiced certain characters in anime and cartoons and video games but I didn’t know he has a voice acting record of the most credited voice acting for so many characters I always tried to do his wolverine voice and that’s my favorite he knows how to manipulate sounds through his vocal chords and knows how to use his diaphragm im/pressed

A director that inspires and highlights the good and even adds more context to the lines . - example* = "you took the first three lines and you gave me story, and then you went manifest! which is a story* - THATS passion right there. I cant wait to get started with voice acting

I'm new to VO but I'm certain this specific video should be watched by artists of all levels. Chuck clearly has a wealth of information and it is on full display here. It will take multiple watches but I will be absorbing as much as possible from this video; knowing I will be a better artist for doing so. Just awesome. These videos are amazing resources! It’s really great to watch all elements of a production, and I learn a lot from everybody involved. I especially like the camera angles that get the desk and the booth into the picture. One thing though, Steve Blum’s mic check...is actually a track off John Hartford’s 1971 LP “Aereo-Plain,” entitled “Station Break,” and I think you’d really enjoy it (it’s on Apple Music). I’m just getting going in voice over, but I’ve been doing Station Break for years, just for fun. Thanks again!
