The week after this was posted was what felt like the worst week of my life. And despite no one hearing the desperate crying coming from my room late at night, this song was playing, on repeat. The lyrics still ring through my head, and the beat became each step I took until the day I could support the weight of my heart by myself again. It's been three weeks since it was posted, now. Life has gotten much better since then, but the song still echoes through my mind, and I find comfort in the fact that no matter my mood- the good, or bad- this song still remains true, and better still, close to my heart. Keeping every step of the way one worth looking forward to. Just today I rekindled an old relationship. We broke up years ago, but the friendship and my love remained. This song reminds me of the cycle of life. One day, again, I'll find myself unable to continue. But there's always moments like these that make me feel as if I don't have to do it on my own. This isn't fiction, or some tale I made up. It's a thank you note. The phrase will remain true, and I'll remind myself of it. Life keeps cycling.

It’s been about a year since I first started listening to this song, and after obsessing over it for a while certain circumstances causes me to forgot about it until I heard it’s in the background of a different video and had to come back here and listen to it all over again. And now I’m crying alone in my room at night from a mixture of nostalgia, a beautiful song and lyrics that hit harder than they did a year ago. Combined with the fact that the song directly says singing this tune and looking back on how life cycles... and I just, it’s such a beautiful song with excellent writing that really means something to me. I remember when this came out last year, right when I needed it. Circus, you are one of my favourite producers, ever since way back then with 'Lie.' Your music is always so beautifully written, and lovely. Comforting and relatable. This song really cheered me up when I was in depression last year. I come back to it whenever I'm struggling and it somehow makes me emotional-- but I just can't believe there's a song just like this!!
