Hannah Turner- Ya but it has dark undertones. I think it's about liking somebody and them not liking you back, yet you can't help dreaming about them. "I don't think it'll happen" and "I won't cry, I'm just fine." The dreams turn to nightmares and you're stuck unable to get over them, with out having the guts to tell them you love them. - I can relate.

Giant Potion haha tbh I thought the description tagline was a reference to Sleeping Beauty, where the song "Once Upon a Dream" as the first line of the song itself is "I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream" and about how Aurora, the main character (ofc) had met somebody in her dreams before, knowing exactly who they were. Though it really might relate to the song as it sings about how she recognises that man she saw in her dreams, and even goes so far to saying that if he is the man of her dreams, she knows that man will instantly fall in love with her. It may have to do with how Luka fantasizes being with someone she does know in real life, but knows the differences between the real version and the dream version of that someone. The dream counterpart is probably the perfect version of that somebody, while the real life version is far from that. Idk, I'm not one to theorize and I'm also very confusing so,,,,,, But hopefully I did help with your understanding a bit...?

I believe that for music that can be called real music 1 month and a half is very little time . Normally a good song that has meaning , good melody and arrangement plus good lyrics could take 1 or more years of development. Depending on the time a student or working adult has to work on music or the inspiration . Inspiration can hit at the most random times and sometimes a song is completed when putting together all the inspiring moments of years in one person's life .

at the end there is a line that says "I had a nightmare last night/ It was about you and... the rest doesn't matter." I think the entire song is a dream. a memory of the past, about the girl's doubts before the relationship started. And now, she is "living the dream", and can hardly believe it. So the nightmare is the two never being together. At least, that's what I've come up with after much consideration.

I took it as a girl who had a thing with someone but that's all it was... a thing. She ended up liking him but it would never be. She would dream about them actually being together but would be faced with reality. At the end I think she realizes it would never be (I had a nightmare last night), basically gives up and just doesn't give a shit anymore (the rest doesn't matter.)

Just came up with my own interpretation, I feel 14 again /j This pastel world Luka created is her within a dream, when she is describing this world it is her literal dream. However, she's using the dream to escape her partner who makes her uneasy, in the real world her heart is coming undone. Her pastel world fading into black and white is her beginning to wake up to her partner. Because she wants to escape her partner she goes deeper into her dream, she's raising the clouds up higher. The first time we go into the chorus she is interrupted from actively participating within her dream. Afterword she's watching the pleasant version of what her dream was, from the outside looking in. She is able to enjoy the dream for a while but her dream is tainted by her partner, who tries to wake her up again to which she tries to sleep through again. The long bit of music with the black and white background is indicating her dream being barely enjoyable, she's just replaying everything, she's holding onto her dream but she's barely asleep. At the end she is coming to terms with being awake and how her partner will not match up to anything she could dream of them. :)
