I wish I could hug this man. Its legitimately exciting when I see Bob covering a topic I need to know, because I feel like at the end I will actually understand wtf I'm doing. I love the electronics community, but the algebraic prattling of the average EE professor is tedious. I want to know what the electrons are actually doing, not simply the correct numbers to scribble on a test when asked what v this minus v that over v something is. Bob always takes to time to demonstrate these crucial mechanisms and I can't thank him enough for it.

now ya got me going to my shed in the middle of the night scratching around for op amps so I can prove what you say🙂

Long-winded reply, please bear with me. All your videos are awesome, I try to binge watch as much as possible, going back to RSD. Since this an OP Amp video, I was curious if I may make a suggestion and forgive me if this has been done. I have been starting to design simple circuits with the kids and would like to start using op amps. I have seen many videos, yours have been very informative, my only hurdle has been visualizing one in a circuit. Of all the videos I have seen, I haven't found one that describes an op amp in a device and how the device uses the op amp. For instance, what is connected to each terminal and what influences the changes. I understand the basics on the inputs and outputs, but the missing piece is going over a product that uses op amps, and what it does in the device. Whether it's a audio component, TV, motor controller, microwave, etc, when would you use a NPT or PNP if needed, what part of the device would dictate the load or input voltage. All of this is basic, I get that, and the possibilities are endless, I'm just having trouble seeing it in action in a device. BTW, your video outside with the wooden rod really helped in understanding them. Thank you again, glad to be a new patron!
