Saturation is the point where increasing the magnitude of the input to a system no longer causes a change in the system.

Thank you for this video, sir. My teacher doesn't do this kind of stuff. Heck, he actively retracts some information from the slides in his lectures because he wants the students to participate in his class, which I understand the need for, but someone like me would often find myself lost in those lectures to the point I don't even know what questions I need to ask, so videos like these help me out a lot to learn things at my own pace.

This is great thank you! I’m taking an online circuits class so it’s difficult to get answers to questions so this really helps clear things up 🎉

I came here to say the exact same thing. 40 years ago my lecturer totally lost me with transistor circuits, the professor makes it so straight forward 👏👏👏

Hello,your lecturers are really great! But can you explain what might happen if collector and base are shorted? Assuming a short in Ic due to external factors

Sir, datasheet give detail about Vce (sat) = Ic.100mA , Ib 10mA , it mean Ib 5mA if Ic = 50mA ... is this correct ...
@SouravTechLabs6 ай бұрын
The relationship between Ib and Ic is not necessarily linear, especially in the saturation region of a transistor. So cannot directly halve the base current to get a proportionate reduction in collector current. It's common to assume linearity for rough calculations (like Ib = 5 mA for Ic = 50 mA in your example), the actual relationship can vary depending on the transistor's characteristics and the operating region.
