I like the MTV performance for a couple reasons, I think because it’s where she first did the amazing intro, the band/orchestra, her closeness with the audience, and she just looks like she’s having fun in that performance.

But when I see how you analyze the songs, I have a feeling that you’d be even more impressed hearing the songs separately in their original form, the way they were supposed to be presented. I think her whistles sound so good, not just because she’s super skilled, but also because her voice type and condition. She has vocal nodules which are probably the reason she always had this access to the whistle register or vice versa… maybe she overused that register as a child until she developed vocal nodules. Either way, most of the time, her whistles would be more accessible when the rest of her voice is in bad condition/sick/tired. And she would use her whistles less when she uses upper belting more.
