the song itself is about them expressing their self confidence and trusting themselves even if they rest of the world tells them not to, or about them believing that they're good and pure even if society tells them that they're evil. a lot of people are also interpreting it as a lesbian story, as in them expressing how society views it as a sin or a bad thing, but as the song goes on, they come to terms with it and embrace it regardless of whether its a sin or not

Also there's a biblic teory where the members are: Miyeon: God Minnie: Eva Soojin: Lilith Soyeon: Lucifer after turning into a devil Yuqi: Adam Shuhua: Lucifer before turning into a devil The teory tells that Minnie (Eva) is trapped in her own mind and going crazy because she's getting tricked by Soyeon (Lucifer) to sin, finally she does it and tells how Adam is getting punished by God for sinning with Eva and being send to the hell, where you found Lilith, the first Adam's wife being a demon already, also tells us how Soojin (Lilith) turned Shuhua (Lucifer being an angel) turned and got tricked as well by Lilith to turn into Soyeon (Lucifer, this time, being a demon)

The rapper is the leader of the group and she wrote the lyrics of this song. In an interview she said that she wants to highlight how people trust themselves and others and that's typically the message of the album overall. The first shots where the surroundings are white symbolize purity and then they go to another world which is the temptation of life. In short Miyeon is the good in life and Soojin is the evil and Suyeong (the girl with short black hair) fight temptation but fails. We also see Minnie (the girl with braids) survives the temptation and at the end she gets stained with black but somehow doesn't sink into the evil like Suyeong. I hope that clarified the image a little bit!

My theory about the storylinr, short and simple...this was about bad will and sins. Blond is like a devil or a voice calmly tempting the others. Bangs have committed a sin and now she can't stop thinking about it, fell into depression and eventually killed herself. Short black hair have committed a sin and fully fell into it kind of losing it... she's in another world now. Wavey back hair was pretty pure but was tempted to look at the sin and now she can't unsee it, you can see her eyes are scarred. Wavey brown hair looked the purest but she could see the temptations from up where she was and eventually she was convinced to jump only to find out she will fall forever. Smooth brown hair is completely pure and did not fell to the temptation. Through the video you can see red whine and the apple which are temptation of the sin and purple which is a calming colour and red which is a seductive colour. also the lyrics....she, female form to show temptation of the sin.

So this is my own interpretation of the video but you can think whatever. Soojin: Soojin was the devil disguised as a goddess. She was the main temptation for most of the girls to try and get them to go down to hell. Minnie: I think Minnie was stuck in her own head and she couldn’t escape her thoughts. So, she ended it all by killing herself (hence the red goop that symbolises blood) and the temptation of killing herself to be at “peace” was a trap. A trap that was sent by soojin. So now she’s in the middle space to try and figure out if she was going to heaven or hell (the white room). But in the end soojin won her over and she became a devil too. Soyeon: Soyeon is Also in the middle space (the white room) and she was also won over by soojin. The trap for her (I think) is whenever she was in the barbed wire. I think that Soyeon was just tired of being in that middle space. So, in the end I don’t think she cared where she went. Just as long as she could get out of that “personal” place. So, she was won over by soojin easily. I think that she already knew what soojin was doing (whenever soojin whispered in her ear) and so she won her over by doing that. I think Soyeon became temptation #2 once she became a devil. Shuhua: Shuhua was an actual goddess and she was In her own little world. She was the “arrogant” one and Soojin knew that her arrogance was her weakness. So, I think that soojin promised her things or said things that boosted her arrogance. I think that Shuhua’s arrogance might have agitated soojin. But soojin knew what terrified her. She knew she didn’t want to lose everything that she had Or her power over people (the people below her in her scene) So she was sent somewhere alone and isolated in hell. Yuqi: Yuqi was in her own limbo. She didn’t know where she was, she didn’t know how she got there. (Hence her running down a hall “searching” for something) She was just kinda there. This was soojins trap because she knew that yuqi wouldn’t have been happy there. She was alone and didn’t have anyone. So by the time that yuqi has discovered where she was it was already too late. Soojin has won and pulled her down into hell. (Her falling down into an endless black hole). Miyeon: Miyeons trap was the same as Soyeons. Bc I think by this time soojin already knew that she had won so she didn’t even try with miyeon bc (to me) it looked like miyeon was tired of being on display for people so soojin knew that it was her weakness. I think that the full meaning behind it is to never change yourself or your values for someone. No matter how good it may seem in the moment. So yeah that’s my Interpretation. I know it’s not 100% correct but it’s about as correct as I could get it so it would make sense. 💜 I just wanted you to know.

Your theory is pretty good and detailed. Another theory that I heard is that Soojin is actually the only devil. While Miyeon is actually a goddess. Minnie, Soyeon and Yuqi are being tempted into the dark side. It can be seen through 1. Minnie was surrounded by the backup dancers which later shown that the backup dancers are like Soojin army as it shown that they were worshiping her. The detail here is that her dress was pretty white and pure until the end when she got black ink all over herself and just laid there in hell until the mv is finished. Also, when she got black ink all over her, the looks really resembles the backup dancers right? 2. The aesthetic in Yuqi scene really resembles Miyeon (who is the goddess). It shows that Yuqi was actually one step away from reaching heaven and enters it with Miyeon. However, as she keeps looking to the side, she spotted Soojin (which shows all these scenes in between which the setting actually looks like it belongs to Soojin parts). And in the end of the scene, Yuqi fell back down right at the door of Miyeon scene. Supports with Yuqi later scene showing her red eyeshadows (which actually similar to Soojin eyeshadows), it shown that she has been tempted and now can no longer enters heaven. That can also be shown with the scene where she was falling wearing a white dress, it's as if her purity left her 3. I don't know much about Soyeon but as you can see, she also laid in hell (similar to Minnie) which kinda tell you that she has been tempted. I think your explanation about Soyeon is way better and detailed so pretty much explained how Soyeon got tempted Lastly is Shuhua and according to the person who made this theory, they said that Shuhua is the only one that didn't got tempted and able to overcome Soojin tricks. As you can see in her scene, the aesthetic again is pretty similar to Miyeon. But while the backup dancers surrounded her (trying to trick her) with Soojin whispering to her lies and all that, she still stays strong. Which of course she then disappeared and enters heaven while the image being replaced to Soyeon, who eventually got tempted and follows Soojin.

In first scene we see minnie being dragged into hell after she tasted wine and her pureness is fading.then we see soyeon lips with wine which means she is also taking wine but she don't regret it cuz it is who she is.then we see minnie trying to escape that means she wants to be pure again...which leads to yuqi scene whe you can see she is looking at a a figure and is scared.. which means she knows that she is losing her pureness..... And miyeon is only the pure one who is refusing to accept yuqi as she sits in the throne cuz she knows that yuqi lost her purity but later on she realises that she is alone in heaven so she falls in to hell. we again see minnie dancing scene in which the dancers are trying to stop her from escaping...where as Minnie is still trying as hard as she can to escape. Then we see soojin who is the "devil" And luring all pure member to her we can see that she was once pure where all members are in white but she is holding an apple . As we know apple was cursed in Bible.. so she is luring all members to her.....then suha is also pure where she is spreading violet or purple sent to her followers...but in next scene soojin Whispered something in her her which made suha to change her path... And at last we see that Minnie is tired of trying to escape the hell and is turning black...now she is facing the fact that she no longer have purity in her....and is in mud .

*THE THEORY* Soyeon (the rapper): Lilith. Minnie (the girl in the beginning): Eve. Shuhua (the one with the really long dress who sang the bridge): almost fallen angel but then purity like you said. Yuqi (the one you said has a beautiful voice): fallen angel. Miyeon (the girl with the old lightning thingy): God. Soojin (the blond haired girl where you said you really liked the lighting): The devil. Lilith was known to be the first wife of Adam before Eve, she was made from the same clay that Adam was made from, unlike Eve. Because they were made the same way, you would think that they would be equal, but God wanted to make Adam the dominant one and Lilith didn't want to be submissive to a man so she didn't agree and was sent away from The Garden of Eden. Soyeon/Lilith is shown to give in because she was furious about being sent away only because she denied being submissive, so she became evil and is known to be the mother of all demons and all evil. Soyeon/Lilith is also shown to be laying in mud and that represents that she was banned from the Gardens of Eden. Miyeon/God is shown to try to trick people into temptation like Minnie/Eve falls for the temptation of Soojin/the devil giving her an apple that she supposedly got from the tree. Soyeon/Lilith took revenge on Miyeon/God, by corrupting the snake who gave Minnie/Eve the apple. Soojin/The devil also kissed Shuhua and that implies that Shuhua was almost a fallen angel because she was tempted into the darkness, but then she successfully got out of Soojin's/The devil's grasp and become purity. She might also be the purity that cured Minnie/Eve from the sin she commited, because Miyeon/God saw how Shuhua broke free from Soojin/The devil and so Miyeon/God forgave Minnie because of Shuhua's purity and Shuhua's bravery. Yuqi is a fallen angel, she is shown falling from the sky and it implies that she fell for Soojin's/The devil's temptations and she got corrupted. You can see Soyeon/Lilith and Minnie/Eve in white rooms which represents purity. Soyeon/Lilith fell too far in but Minnie/Eve broke free even though she took the apple from Soojin/The devil.

This is the story and is confirmed; Minnie the girl with the bangs who starts the intro and ends the outor is a normal person who has committed a sin she was a good person she committed a sin and they sent her to the asylum so at the beginning of the mv it looks like two men take her to a room. The one with short hair is like the one who introduces minnie to "evil" with soojin the girl with blonde hair, soyeon follows soojin's orders. And soyeon was once bad but the temptation of evil consumed her and so now she obeys soojin and worships her. Yuqi the black-haired girl who walks down the hall is a normal good girl if you look closely when she walks down the hall she sees soojin yuqi looks scared but at the same time curious and makes the curiosity of evil lead her to miyeon. Miyeon is god, her beauty impresses yuqi, miyeon drops the glass (the glass represents wine, wine represents life in itself) making yuqi a sin of evil. Soojin is the devil or serpent in Adam and Eve the serpent caused Eve to sin by eating the forbidden apple that is why she had the apple. Soojin tries to make everyone come to evil. Miyeon represents god makes yuqi fall and she can also be ever that at first miyeon did not have the dancers but evil has consumed her and she then falls the balance of evil and good has lost control. Yuqi turns to the side of evil that's why he has red eyes like devils. Shuhua is an Angel is good but the temptation of evil is also consumed when soojin whispers ab imo pectore (deep in the heart) and then appears soyeon I think soyeon was good that symbolizes shuhua but soojin seduced her and turned to evil . At the end minnie comes out consumed by evil completely mind if you look along the mv the dancers who are with her have black spots and on her finger she has a black stain like soojin's finger a kind of pointy finger at the end of the whole minnie she is already on the bad side and when she extends his hands she makes the victim who is watching her also turn to the bad side. To understand the mv you have to know what their mini album I TRUST is about.

G-idle is vocally one of the best girl groups in Korea along with Mamamoo and Red Velvet. The members individually have incredibly unique voices, and they also have a very strong stage presence. You should react to Lion by G-idle - it's SUCH a good song melodically.

The song can be interpreted in a multitude of ways, but the perils of each member may symbolize the temptations of sin. For example, Soyeon is struggling to break free, giving in to the temptation, while Minnie is fighting it. Yuqi has completely lost herself and given into the temptation. Throughout the video, she tries to get Miyeon to follow her sinful desires. Eventually, Miyeon is alone and falls. Soojin represents the sin, or devil, the one that each member chases or tries to get away from. Soojin manages to lure the members, seen as a horrifying and idolized object throughout the music video. Soojin herself was once pure alongside the other members in white, yet she holds an apple that may represent the temptation from the devil to Eve. Shuha is also pure, yet a temptation in her own way, yet when Soojin whispers to her, spreading her influence, Shuha becomes one of the fallen.

I got surprised when his theory was pretty accurate, except at the end when he says that she fell Into the wrong crowd and ended up leaving her stray, it was actually she was resisting the urge to fall in love, when people tend to have the mind set that having someone could make you feel complete, but they don't understand that it could hurt them even more then being alone, but to them they are trying not to get sucked into this mindset because they need to focus on whats more important,their music career and them selves, that's pretty much what their trying to get across, so all the girls who were wearing all white, they represented purity and didn't fall into this mind set, all the girls wearing black, are the ones who have given into this temptation, and the one with all the hands around her is trying not to give in, and all the hands were the temptation trying to bring her down and get her trapped, so at the end when she's seen laying on the floor, it showed how pained she was after trying to fight off this temptation, and how difficult it was, but she showed us how it wasn't impossible, and when it showed them getting drenched in the blood, the wine in the glass, the the liquid flowing through their hands, all of those were representing the temptation and how they gave into it..........

The whole album is about trust. You can say ‘Oh my god’ is about trusting someone who has led you astray. You end up in a dark place when you thought that person cared and would keep you safe. However the girls continue through. They now trust in themselves and their inner confidence, breaking away from the darkness they were in once before.

My theory is like a sin,devil or an angel well I'm going t explained this if u guys trusted this Minnie:so first when the video is starting u can see her being drag by back dancers is bc she will stuck in a room with white paint. Soyeon:so soyeon is also in a room a white room but she is dancing in the white room and she saw something so she open it Yuqi:so yuqi is struggling to find a way out but she fell down bc of the flame and she has red lines on her eyes which mean like she's a devil and she is to late to find a way out Miyeon:so we see miyeon sitting on a throne which means she an angel and that scene from black back dancers is dancing and she don't know what to do Soojin:so soojin a sin which she is sitting on a white table and she was capture for being a sin and now she is free for freedom and she hold is holding a purple clothe I think Lastly shuhua:so shuhua is free from the sin and she is in the throne room which miyeon sits on.

I got this from reddit but this is the theory; Minnie and Soyeon are fallen angels. Different is, Soyeon literally dancing her way to commit sin, so she went out of heaven on her own will. While Minnie was kicked out because she was caught of sinning. Yuqi : is a human. During her first part, look at her worried face, and then you can see a glimpse of Soojin and Yuqi fell after that. This probably means that Yuqi who supposedly looking pure outside was also tested by temptation. She looked upward and there's Miyeon, Yuqi's face showed guilt and Miyeon dropped her wine goblet. (Wine was also used as a symbol of blessing and judgement throughout the Bible. Drinking a cup of strong wine to the dregs and getting drunk are sometimes presented as a symbol of God's judgement and wrath, and Jesus alludes this cup of wrath, which he several times says he himself will drink) Miyeon is a forgotten Goddess in this whole plot. "Forgotten" because while she was on her throne, she's looking sadly at her people who didn't worship her as much (because the dancers were not looking at her and they were all in the dark) Refer to Shuhua's set as comparison as her followers on their knees facing her. Shuhua is not a goddess but a heavenly being, probably archangel. She doesnt pass judgement like Miyeon did but she is worshipped more than Miyeon. Soojin is the devil. Soyeon referred Soojin on her rap as "The Piper". Based on folk story, the piper did free the town of its rats, but the town council cheated him of his pay. Bent on revenge, therefore, the pied piper then lured all of the children away. There's a glimpse of Soojin in shackled. I believe, Miyeon restrained her. So when Soojin was free, she was hellbent to take as many of Miyeon's people with her as a revenge. Take note that Soojin's expression was void of joy, but a little bit of sorrow. But her expression changed at her second verse of "Oh My God" where she looked more confident in her decision to take all Miyeon's people to her side. That was why she whispered to Shuhua and tried to lure her, but instead of Shuhua, Soyeon was the one who came. By this time, there's a scene where Minnie shot herself. And by that means, Minnie lost the battle with her desire and went straight to hell. Yuqi lost her way, no longer worshipping Miyeon as she's now fully on Soojin's team. She's still on earth because she's not dead yet.
