yeah he's the only vocal coach i can watch lmao literally everyone else criticizes. he doesn't even- it's not even criticism, it's just commentary and he's always super nice about it. and i appreciate that he doesn't just imitate, i hate when coaches just imitate to emphasize the difficulty like WE KNOW IT'S DIFFICULT

Natsuru I know finally someone says this! Singers singing live IS going to change because in the studio your not even dancing or doing anything else. A great example is Shakira. Every time she in stage she moves VERY MUCH, which is why it sounds a bit different than the studio version. (It is still wierd she still sings really good though 😂 that’s some talent right there)

People said the choreography is simple but they can sing is more important than only focus on dances. Singing while are you dancing is so complicated I prefer a group who sings than only dances. G IDLE not only sing also they know how show their passion while they perform

I think, although it seems simple, it's really hard because besides the simple moves, they also have to remind themselves of the detail that goes into their dancing such as timing etc. Mamamoo, are one of the powerhouses when it comes to this because they're a vocal group and I think Idle are really reflecting upon that light as well. 😌

The member Yuqi 3:28 has a really unique deep voice (at least in kpop) that I absolutely adore. Yuqi's voice always struck me whenever I listen to their songs. Not many Kpop girl groups have that voice and listening to her is like a breath of fresh air. (G)I-DLE has good vocalists. If you want to listen to a more vocal-centered performance/live stage, you can check their Queendom stage "Put It Straight (Nightmare Ver.)" Funny thing about the mic pack popping out. The blonde member Soojin possibly had this happen in a recent performance. Fans couldn't figure out if she was having a wardrobe malfunction or if the mic pack was popping out, but if you look closely you can see her subtly fixing something behind her in one of the most recent stage performances.

I think on this exact stage (probably a different take), Yuqi's mic pack actually popped out, fortunately not when she was singing. Both she and Soojin (who was next to her) tried to tuck it back while dancing. Let's just say Kpop performances in general are just very complicated and difficult.

It's been 17 years since his debut so he's been in the industry for a long time and just released many versions of his solo MV, even the dance practice version looks so high quality. (He's part of the duo group TVXQ. Used to be 5 members until 2009 when 3 members left, but now it's a duo. His name is Changmin but he goes by MAX for this solo. He's in the same company as EXO. He's their senior)

THANK YOU FOR REACTING TO THIS and thank you for being so kind and understanding of them. Like, if you don’t understand how it feels to sing while dancing, try some of their moves (especially the one with the head turning) and try to keep a stable note. It takes a lot of time, practice, and effort to keep that note stable. No, I am not an expert in singing or dancing but even as a simple fan, I can appreciate idols who focus on their performance and aren’t afraid to let some of the backtrack do the work for them. Of course they won’t let it do ALL the work, and yes, this choreo isn’t as intense as other choreos but movement is still movement and it takes ENERGY. Thank you for this reaction ❤️

People need to acknowledge that citing groups that don't use backing tracks like Mamamoo pretty much don't have choreo or the choreo is made for the abdominal area not to bend or move at all because that's their focus, G-Idle and many other kpop groups focus are usually on dance so it's much preferable to sacrifice some vocals for a more complicated dance routine, even Mamamoo had their backing track unusually high in their performances to Hip that had an intensive dance choreo. Also if you want to hear raw live vocals you should go check out live Radio performances where they aren't dancing, it shows like 95% of every group raw vocals which is amazing.

Yes, it's normal to have backtrack and have flaws and dancing adds more pressure, however, this is what they're trained for. They should know how to and sound good most of the time, idle need to still work on their vocals as they're incredibly shaky live a lot. Mamamoo sound great no matter what, they had more backtrack but you could still hear their strong vocals

Yes u are right! The promotion performances in kpop are not there to show of 100% of their vocal ability! Because kpop idols have talent and can sing!! But it’s a whole entertainment package with dance choreography, concepts, formations, camera movements, outfits,styling,make up,the song itself, and ofc also the vocals but they are not the most important thing! I love it that u always defend the artists saying: they are also humans, and they can’t sing perfect all the time on stage while dancing with all that production around them! I just wanted to say thankyou real quick because not many people get that these live performances on music shows are not really to show their vocal talent, they are more about giving a performance and a show. Also becuase they have full on choreography to do and it's really tiring and takes a lot of breath, so it's most definitely understandable that they have a backtrack. And the reason why the backtrack is so high is because these performances on shows like mnet countdown and music bank are prerecorded. These aren’t one time performances, they’re recorded up to 6 times. You can watch the show sisters slam dunk or the unnies season 2, I think it’s on episode 6 where they watch twice’s prerecording. It shows how many times these performances are filmed.
