Thanks for your wonderful reaction to Forestella! This is a famous French song, Je suis malade. (I'm sick) The original singer is Serge Lama. However, Forestella sang this song as an homage for Lara Fabian's version. It notes in the lyrics with terms in feminine form (orpheline, heureuse). But Serge Lama posted his praises about this stage on his official SNS. (Twitter, IG, FB). Forestella released their Korean version of this song in their 3rd album: the Forestella. 눈물 속에 홀로 (Alone in Tears) has lyrics in Korean. Even the words in the lyrics were changed a lot from the original Je suis malade, you can feel the deep emotions and vibes of the original in it if you try to listen. One of the members of Forestella (Bae DooHoon) contributed in writing some lyrics in Korean as well.

Not only did they sing it outstandingly, but they performed the song telling the story and touching the audience's heartstrings. i would love to see you react to and analyze one of their original songs! I'm not French, so I can't personally judge their pronunciation, but it's great to hear from you that it's excellent. Thank you! Your comment, however, made me curious- as professional singers, wouldn't singers usually understand the meaning of the lyrics they perform, even if it's in a language they don't speak? At the very least, I would imagine they would read a translation beforehand. I often hear vocal coaches expressing surprise when singers perform in other languages, saying, "It's as if they understand the meaning." Is it uncommon for singers to familiarize themselves with the lyrics' meaning before performing? No offense at all, I'm just curious : )

Although this was a very good cover, for me it was sung not performed. It didn't have the emotion that the master of emotions that is Lara Fabian puts into the song . Maybe it was because it had too many voices, it lost its way for me. It sounded a little jolly not tearful . I cry every time I hear Lara,s version.

Good cover singing-wise. In terms of emotions it wasn't even close to Lara's version. To be fair, it's difficult to believe the emotions when there are 4 people singing about a breakup vs a seemingly devastated woman; or non-native speakers singing unless they have perfected the accent. It's the reason I preferred Lara's versions of Adagio and Mademoiselle Hyde to Dimash, while I preferred Dimash's Love is like a dream to Lara's.

Pues es su opinión y es respetable, para mí fue una interpretación maravillosa, y fue la misma opinión de Serge Lama el compositor e interprete original de ésta canción y felicitó a #Forestella por tan sublime y maravillosa interpretación los felicito en sus redes sociales y compartió el vídeo en Francia quedó realmente sorprendido, porque quien más que el que escribió la canción para saber lo que quería expresar en ésta canción, entonces yo concuerdo con él Forestella dió una cátedra de interpretación, Lara Fabián es una gran interprete y es obvio que su interpretación es una expresión de una mujer dolida, los hombres expresan sus emociones diferentes y la complejidad de armonizar cuatro voces diferentes es muy muy alta por eso lo hace maravilloso! I'm sorry, but I have an intriguing question about your name. Do you have Serbian ancestry? Now I owe an explanation. And in the Middle Ages, when newborn mortality was extremely high (out of seven newborns, one or two survive). In desperation, people gave female children the name Dounia (Quince) so that they would be strong and durable like this fruit, which was the only one able to survive the winter, healthy, hardy and fragrant. And male children were given the name Vuk (wolf) so that death would be afraid of their name and run away. Those two names are still in use in Serbia today.
