This song is about “La Citta di Smeraldo”. It becomes more meaningful when you know what they are singing about. It is about the Smeraldo flower grown for a woman by someone who felt he was too ugly to give it to her in person. This takes place in the 15th or 16th century. The woman was stealing the flowers in his garden in order to survive. She was poor and sickly. The man growing it was mad at first, but he observed her from a distance (wearing a mask and cape) and realized her situation and wanted to help her. He fell in love with her and created this beautiful flower so she could sell it for higher price. It talks about sincere love towards someone, but was never fully conveyed. He didn’t get a chance. “I can’t show you me. The lyrics changed so many times because they wanted it to stay true to the story, but also something the fans can relate to. This song is actually based on a story. There was a man who lived in a big castle but kept to himself since he thought he wasn't beautiful. One day he found out that a woman came near his home and picked his flowers, he was angry at first but became curious of the woman and fell in love with her, but didn't say anything since he thought he was ugly ("can't show you me, give you me") He planted very rare flowers so she could sell them for a bigger price, but one day she stopped coming by and the man found out that she had passed away. He regretted everything and wished he confessed to her ("if I stood up in front of you, would everything change now?") And the line, "i still want you" means that he wants her back. If he loved himself then would be able to confess to the one he loves? As BTS once said... "True love first begins with loving myself"

Your mom looks beautiful.. i love her reaction for the lyrics and vocals.. i know bts at 1st mostly for their fast and catchy songs. But after knowing them, their slow and emotional songs are so much better than their catchy songs. So, I know that people get it confused a lot because they dont do background research on the song, but he boys aren't singing about themselves. Here's what it is: *“la città di smeraldo story”* Smeraldo is a flower with a heartrending story. This story begins around 1500s-1600s This story tell about Ugly guy that hides from people in his dilapidated cottage alone, because his appearance makes him get hatred and violent, so he grew up without opening his mind. His happiness is planting flowers in his garden. One day, A girl appeared closer to his cottage, she jump over the fence and into his garden and stole his flowers, he then got really mad and keep his eye on his garden and that girl, but when he fell asleep, she still stole his flowers again and again. So, he pretend to sleep and kept his eye on the girl who steals his flowers and as he suspects her, and he waits for the girl to come again, so he follows her to watch her. Now he knows why the girl had to steal his flowers because she is poor and she steal the flowers to sell for herself for a living and her life. He really wants to help the girl, and he slowly started falling in love with her. But he's afraid the girl will be scared by his appearance, his features and his face. He knows the girl doesn’t like his face *("I must hide because I'm ugly")*, so he sum up one way to help her, and that is to let her steal his flowers and he was determine to create The Flowers that not appear in this planet because she will get a lot of money from this flower. He start to create the flower in his cottage, he failed again and again but he doesn't give up his determination, finally the flower was done, he successfully created the flowers! He brings the flowers into his garden and he waits for the girl to steal it…. But, no one went there, there was no signal about the girl… For a long time… The girl doesn’t come to his garden... At last he knows the truth… The girl had passed away.

The story of the song is that he is always in his castle and never goes out because he is ugly, one day he looks out his window and sees a beautiful girl in his garden. however he never goes to see her because he doesnt wanna drive her away (cz hes ugly). the girl soon stops showing up at his garden and later he learns its because she passed away. So thats why its called "The truth Untold" because he never showed her his real face or shared that he loved her. And thats why it ends with "i still want you" because even though shes gone, he still loves her and will forever want her.

He wears a mask and often meets her and falls in love.The prince then makes a very beautiful flower which he wanted to use to propose to her but she stops coming to the garden. I don't know if you were told but there is a story behind this song: The story talks about a guy walking down the street looking at him in a weird, and endless way until he thought he was too ugly and he hid himself, in a castle he lived there. and never went out. He loved growing in the garden of the castle flowers. all kinds of roses. he loved his beauty One night he saw a girl come into the garden at night and plucked the flowers, the guy was very angry that he saw. Over time, she returned to pick his flowers every time and the guy looked at her from the castle window. Slowly the guy fell in love with a deep love and anger girl. One day he went out to the mask with a mask on his face to see what the girl was doing with his flowers, and found out she was selling them for a living. when he found out he returned to the castle and wanted to make the most special flower for her that could sell him for a lot of money. You can no longer work and have a good time and he succeeded he grew flowers in his garden only for her and waited for her to come and pick the same flowers time passed days and weeks but she did not arrive. Finally, he put his mask on his face again and went out to the market to see her until he found out she was dead and did not confess to his much love for her The word "I still want you" means that although she is dead he still loves her and wants her Following this song, their album "Love Yourself" was released.
