Yes, this was last-minute. This is on the radio show P3 LIVE where the artist come for an interview and get to sing one of their own songs and then the twist, they have to perform a cove,r but they only get to know the song when they arrive at the studio, so there is a short time frame for them to make an arrangement and learn the song. Aurora has done several songs on this show like this; God is a Woman, Wrecking Ball and the Christmas song Det hev ei rose sprunge ("Es ist ein Ros entsprungen" (literally "A rose has sprung up") )

Yes!!! "Animal Soul" is an unreleased song which only exist in live versions no studio versions. There are 3 beautiful live versions (besides phone recordings from concerts), maybe NRK P3 is the best, but the other 2 deserves a listen/view as well: NRK P3 (Dec 2017): youtu . be / aXtAVhyqY7I (Aurora on piano with 2 backup singers) TV 2 Norway (June 2017): youtu . be / i3WK73eXK14 (Aurora on piano alone) Verftet Online Music Festival (March 2020): youtu . be / CADUQIDjc8s (Aurora on piano alone)

Great reaction 😊👍The notes in front of her are probably lyrics. This video is from a Norwegian radiostation. And this show gives their guests a song to do a cover of. They only get an hour or so to prepare. It was the same on her "god is a woman" cover.

Re the lyrics, she did change them, the rappy sections are much shorter and slightly different, and the outro part "You're the fires of the future..." was another verse starting with "Last things last..." and the lyrics somewhat changed there as well. I like Aurora's version much better and part of it is that her style makes the lyrics more intimate, more like she is acknowledging pain as part of her, whereas the Imagine Dragons seems more raging against it.
@jailaye69292 жыл бұрын
I like her version better to. Like you said, it's more intimate and Aurora knows how to draw us in. Her voice just seems to get better with age . . . .

Hi Nina, it is most likely that the notes on her keybord are indeed last minute arrangements. It's a recurring item on a radio-show on Norwegian NRK-P3 radio, that an artist who is invited to the show, is given a randomly picked song and is asked to arrange a cover of that song in less than an hour. AURORA's covers of "God Is A Woman" by Ariana Grande, "Rasputin" by Boney M, "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus and this song "Believer", are all examples of these "Less than one hour" cover songs.
@lillm68742 жыл бұрын
It’s not randomly picked, they choose from a list. But Aurora had never heard of Imagine Dragons before, she just loved the name cause she loves dragons 😊
@Einyen2 жыл бұрын
@@lillm6874 What book? Do you know exactly how they do this? With Rasputin the hosts made it sound like Aurora chose the song in advance before she arrived, but then Aurora wrote a youtube comment saying they only rehearsed for ~15 minutes. In my opinion it is a bit annoying the hosts do not explain it a bit better, so we know the background. There is a big difference between doing a cover with 15-60 minutes of rehearsal to one you prepared before you arrived.
@lillm68742 жыл бұрын
@@Einyen She didn’t know which song until she arrived the radio station, there she was given a list (not book, my fault ) with songs to choose from😊 She said this at the radio station: “I'm not that good at new music - as everyone probably knows. I also went through their lists - and saw the name Imagine Dragons. I had not heard of them before - and thought it was such a cool name - DRAGONS ARE SO COOL!”
@Einyen2 жыл бұрын
@@lillm6874 Thank you for the info. I wish they would be a little more specific at least saying that she chose it from their list, and then maybe specify even more like how many there were to choose from and even the other alternatives. Maybe that is just me, but I think everyone was surprised when she covered Rasputin, so it would be nice to know exactly how that happened instead of thinking she chose it herself out of the blue.

Hi Nina thank u for the reply I’ve had the pleasure of seeing her live 3 times and I can honestly say that she is without doubt the best live performer I’ve ever seen and trust me at my tender age of 66 🤣 I’ve seen many artists live in concert but no one else has ever moved me like this young artist,my friends often ask me for my favourite song of hers and to be honest that’s hard but if I were pushed it would be an unreleased song called animal soul,her live performance of this song is stunningly beautiful I honestly can’t believe it’s unreleased,would love you to react to it Nina,stay safe ❤️🍎❤️

Love your reaction 🤗 I really like the original, it’s a really great song. But Aurora makes it to a whole different song, and it’s sooo beautiful ❤️ And it’s easier to hear the lyrics and understand the meaning of the song 👍 Aurora visits P3 Christine Live: “- I'm not that good at new music - as probably everyone knows. I also went through their lists - and saw the name Imagine Dragons. I had not heard of them before - and thought it was such a cool name - DRAGONS ARE SO COOL!” AURORA Could you please react to Aurora with: “Exhale Inhale” live at VEVO This live version of the song is amazing 😍 If you’ve already seen it, could you please react to: “In Boxes” live at VEVOHALLOWEEN 2016 This song is about “Aurora” killing men and hides the bodyparts under her bed 😳😊 There was an old lady living in Auroras neighbourhood, and the children were scared of her. And with Auroras imagination she made this song. It’s a song that’s on the “Running with the wolves” EP ✌️🌍❤️

Isn't this a radio show where they give the artist the song they want them to do about an hour before? I believe this is the same show where they gave her "God is Woman" which is brilliant also. She basically remakes the song into something totally new.
