I hope in the future "Aurora Style" will be a trademark. :-) A wonderful reaction to the voice/vocals of Aurora. I hope you will doing more of her music in the future. Her own songs are fantastic, too and she can also get really loud. It's all about the instrumentation she is using. The lesser instruments, the more quiet she is singing. She has so many different versions of her own songs, it's amazing.

It's nice hearing the music that you're listening to. And Aurora is singing like this while she is playing. This is great. How many artists today can sing and play that well?
@SereneSinging4 жыл бұрын
Right?? Aurora is pretty darn talented.

@@SereneSinging Aurora plays several of the instruments on her studio albums. In addition to piano/keyboard she does the synth-pad, drums and percussion on many of the tracks. She started "small" with only piano/keyboard on her first album and then on Step I and Step II she added synth-pad, drums and percussion. If you want to check out songs where she has piked up the drumsticks, I recommend Churchyard and Gentle Earthquakes from Step I and The Seed and Hunger from Step II.

@@SereneSinging What I find amazing is that even though she plays the piano on time, she still sings freely with a laid back feeling, as if someone else was playing it.

A commenter on another video pointed out that the show she's on here has performers do one of their songs along with a cover. The artist only learns what they're covering an hour before showtime. She had to learn the lyrics, set up an arrangement and rehearse for this in just an hour.

Great video there aren't that many Vocal Coach reactions to Aurora so it would be cool to see some more. While I would definitely like to hear your thoughts on more of Aurora's own songs there's also more covers she's done that would be cool to see your reaction to at some point. Here are some suggestions: Life On Mars? (David Bowie) my personal preference would be the video on the NRK's channel shes plays piano in that one, Across the Universe (The Beatles) for Like A Version, God Is a Woman (Ariana Grande) P3 Live, Teardrop (Massive Attack) for Like A Version. Also just to say although some of her music videos are worth definitely checking out for vocal analysis videos I would personally recommend live performaces or ones like in this video.

Aurora is one of my favorite music artists. I love her music! If you have seen her video Murder Song her high notes there are hauntingly powerful!
@TomKnudsen4 жыл бұрын
First off.. 1) Aurora don't know a single musical note, she just learned to play the piano by ear.. 2) Billie Eilish said was inspired to become an artist after listening to Auroras song "Runaway", she said: "now that is what I want to do with my life". 3) Last but at least, try listening or react to Auroras "Murdersong 5,4,3,2,1" "The Seed" and "Churchyard"

Yep, funny how when people sing in their natural accent, it's seen as a vowel choice, which is technically true, but really it's choosing to sing with their own voice.

Thanks for your technical and aesthetic reaction. Aurora presents to vocal music a most delightful and authentic performance time and time again, we are very lucky her mom encouraged her to sing for the benefit and enjoyment of others. The demands for skill she makes on herself is most respected. --- Careful, don't chip a tooth.
