One Day is a Jamaican Reggae song co-written by the one and only Filipino/Puerto Rican/Hawaiian/American Bruno Mars originally recorded by Matisyahu, a Jewish/American reggae artist born and raised in New York, USA.....now covered by Filipino Bugoy Drilon who joined the original artist onstage a few years back to sing this very song....couldn't get any more diverse than that.

I believe the Guitar is a Yamaha Silent Guitar... They can be played acoustically, but the volume will be too low for anything other than solo practice. They're made to be electric, but they kinda have an acoustic sound.

It’s confusing, isn’t it? Many Filipino artists don’t think about the mechanics of singing especially when they are singing. They listen to the song, hear how it’s sung and try to give it the same attitude or change it in a way to express themselves. It’s a more visceral process involving simply - what they think sounds good. That’s why Filipino artists cross genres, mimic accents, switch mechanisms so randomly. We’re not very cerebral when it comes to the arts. One thing artists don’t compromise on - because their audience expect this - is to deliver genuine emotion on each song. We want our singers to sing “with feeling.” And that’s how they connect with us. I’m sure they receive training during the course of their careers, but it’s not usually a prerequisite.
