Kasey Chambers is an Australian legend: the youngest person to be entered into the Australian Music Hall of Fame, a dozen albums and has more than 30 ARIA Awards (the AU Grammy's). She is beloved but is ignored by radio and was shunned by Sony. She's been performing in her father's band since she was 12 years old (her brother is backing vocals and her dad is on the steel guitar on stage here). She had some pop hits in the 90s but her heart and soul is Country in her own style. She wanted to commemorate the 20th anniversary of this song because she loves Eminem, and she had the time to rearrange and compose this masterpiece during lockdown. She is showing so much emotion because she has lived this to a degree as well. She is now 48 years old and a mother of three. This recording is the first time it was ever performed live and was done at the end of the concert. They thought it went well, so they used the recording from the sound desk and asked their fans who were in attendance to provide any footage they had to composite this one together. While there has been no public approval from Em, she has been allowed to put this song up on Spotify without challenge.

Casey was an outback girl, often isolated from folks other than her family. From Wikipedia "From July 1976 the Chambers family travelled around the Nullarbor Plain, where the parents hunted foxes and rabbits for pelts during seven or eight months a year, spanning nine years" Note that the Nullarbor Plain is a remote part of Australia with very few people.

Nice Reaction! What Kasey did with this song is amazing and from what I have read in other comments, Eminem like it to, so much so that he gave her his blessing to put it on Spotify. On a side note, I guess it matters who you are when you do a cover of this song. One of the Republican candidates for President, Vivek Ramaswamy, did a little cover of this song at a campaign event (not the whole song) and he got a Cease and Desist letter from Eminem.

Do you have a source for Eminem even hearing this version? Everyone keeps repeating that in these videos, yet nobody has a source... Considering the other matter, using a song in political or commercial purposes is a completely different matter than simply playing the song.

As I wrote in my comment, "from what I have read in other comments, Eminem liked it to." As for the other part. It's hard to limit songs from Kasey, as she's done a dozen albums already. I'm going to suggest three specific songs for you to get some of her diversity. Start with 'Aint Pretty Enough', which she wrote when starting to get success, but having the radio stations not playing her music, so her cry was 'am I not pretty enough?' Next, move on to 'Aint no little girl', do the live one from the Bluegrass Underground. She calls this her 'glue song', helping her to hold her life together. Lastly, open a new box of tissues and do 'Nullarbor Song (Live)'. It's about being homesick. The Nullarbor Plains in Australia is about a 100,000 km2 (about the combined size of Scotland & Wales) of land between the ocean and the Great Victoria Dessert along the south coast of Australia. On a good day it might have 100 permanent residents in total. Nullarbor is from the Latin, Null Arbor (no trees). Kasey spent many years growing up here (her dad was a fox hunter) and referred to it as having the world's biggest back yard. The main east-west road and rail links for Australia run through here. "If I'm not here in the morning I'll cry a river of tears But I'll learn to live in a new town But my heart is staying here"

But her song alone is bipolar 2. I like to call it bipolar lite. Her song starts in the depressive but once it drops, a quick flip to moderate mania coming out of depressive.
