You should consider reacting to Lovebites, all female J-metal band who sing in English. They do metal as good as anyone, and many times better. Their guitar duo of Midori and Miyako are the best in the business, their new bassist, 20yr old Fami is a phenom, 4' 9" drummer Haruna is a human metronome, and then you have the one and only voice Asami, with her booming voice, with that R&B background which is a perfect fit for this ELITE band. Even though in my opinion Wacken 2013 was THE legendary concert of Nightwish, I have to admit without envy that our Argentinian friends really rocked this concert.I would have loved to have been there.

Oh no. Wacken was the first great Show with Floor. But she only sings Tarja and Anette Songs. Wembley, BA or last year Hellfest or Deichbrand, is much more Floor and her Brothers in Nightwish.

The band is having a blast with this one. I've seen lots of videos of different performances of this song and Floor is usually trying to get Emppu to dance with her but he runs away with a big grin. There is one video where he does commit to a few seconds of "The Swim" dance move with her - hilarious!

Troy is playing the Uilleann (ill-en or ill-yen) pipes. The Irish version of the bagpipes which uses a bellows squeezed by the elbow to inflate the bag. Uilleann is the Gaelic word for elbow. Yes, Floor's energy is amazing, and she wasn't 100% here. She had been sick with the flu a show or 2 before this. Love Emppu laughing at her, and trying to stay out of her way. The show was Sep 30, 2018, the DVD was released 2019.

The crowd spontaneously breaking into song at the start is visceral. As a British person I don't think you can beat South American crowds.... especially Argentina... they're just awesome! I believe they're singing a football song but changing the name of the team to "Nightwish". I know someone in the comments will elaborate further. The juxtaposition of the Irish pipes with the heavy rock feel just works so damn well. Violin also works nice alongside distorted electric guitars (ever heard that?..... ooooh nice!!).

Actually this wonderful concert took place in 30.9.2018. The "Decades" album/dvd/bluray, where this is from, released 6.12.2019 (Finland's Independence Day). It was the first live album, which topped our charts. Excellent stuff all'n'all. ⛄❄👍

I have to say that from all of the performances of this song, this one is THE BEST! I mean; the crowd feeds the band, and the other way around. I've never seen Floor having so much fun during a performance. And it seems the other bandmembers were feeling the same, except from Emppu, the guitar player,....he was mainly busy with "How do I get away from this mad woman", as Floor was on the prowl to get a dance with him. I just love it❤

Song is from the Imaginaerum album, whose songs are written from the perspective and aging composer approaching the end of his life and reminiscing about his life. In this song is wishing to return to his youth where he felt his emotions more strongly and passionately. Thus he wants his tears back.

Please Nina, consider reacting to TUOMAS HOLOPAINEN - A LIFETIME OF ADVENTURE from his 2014 solo project Music Inspired by the Life and Times of Scrooge, a graphic novel by Don Rosa, the illustrator/storyteller. He appears in the video, drawing. The album was recorded in London with an orchestra. Beautiful song, beautiful vocals by Johanna Kurkela, Tuomas' wife. That "Frantic" moment you mentioned : to me, the drum pattern Kai is playing sounds like it was taken from a celtic Bodhan ( hand-held drum, played with a dual-ended 'beater'). He stripped out all the cymbals and played it primarily on the dual-kicks, from what I could see, tho there was a bit of snare in there for emphasis. Such a fun addition to the song, at just the right moment.

I've loved your Nightwish journey Nina. I really appreciate a musician adding value to the reaction and recognizing things like time signature changes and chord changes that non-musician reactors tend to miss. If I may, have you considered branching out into other Symphonic bands? Epica's "Sancta Terra" (live) or Delain's "The Gathering" (live) would probably be excellent entry points. By the by, you'd probably also have a ball with Battle Beast and Beast in Black. They're much more straight metal bands (Power Metal, to be precise), but the singers are fantastic and so are the instrumentalists.

My favourite Nightwish concert and there are many more great songs. This one is a demonstration that those who say Marco is not one of the lead singers are plain wrong. As with so many songs, he takes the lead for quite a large part of this, with Floor singing harmony. Not unusual. This is one of the most popular of their songs in terms of performance - it's the 6th most frequently played at shows (ahead of, for example, Ever Dream, Amaranth, Storytime, Last Ride of the Day). Tuomas reckons the South Americans are the most enthusiastic fans in the world and this shows why. There are many great songs in this concert, but if you haven't seen them, do yourself a good turn and watch Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, Slaying the Dreamer and for an emotional blast, Dead Boy's Poem.
