Thank you for using all the proper musical words to describe that despairing song that Angelina Jordan sang in "Now I’m the Fool." How she stretches and pulls her words through each phrase just amazes me. She seemed to be playing with her words throughout the whole song. I know you mentioned all the musical wording, but there is such heartbreak in this song. 💔 Thank you again for the wonderful reaction.

I'm glad you got a lot out of this. This is the awesome thing about these singers, they're so in the moment, that everything that they're doing vocally is out of instinct. They're not overthinking about it. And what they create is simply magical. You're awesome @vegaslmr7334 thank you for watching.

@@ScottLeVocalCoach I was involved with many of these technical types of discussions from folks trained in opera when Jackie Evancho came on the music scene in 2010. She was much bigger back then than Angelina currently is (Platinum album at 10 years old). Fortunately, Angelina is receiving practically unanimous praise in her singing and style compared to Evancho, who was pilloried by the opera purists, despite Evancho never claiming to be a real "opera" singer.

Great reaction! Concise and right to the point explaining your "POINTS"😉 At the very end, you describes her hairstyle as being like Amy Winehouse. The style Amy wore wasn't Amy's creation, it was called the "beehive", originating in the 60's & very popular, (Priscilla Presley wore it a lot) and Angelina showcases the "Beehive" in her cover of "Suspicious Minds" The style you see in this video is created by "teasing the hair" to get volume, was used by almost all the girls groups (and civilians 😉) ...oh, and LOTS of hairspray. Her outfit is vintage Angelina, understated and very classy...no over-exposed body parts. The beautiful use of her hands and soft sway dancing is a TOP TIER example of "Less is Better" and VERY much more subtly appealing. Angelina is masterful in every aspect of what you witnessed...we didn't "see" a video, we were treated to a beautifully woven sound of retro, nuance, vocal ornaments and techniques unheard on the radio today...MAGIC, the magic here is named Angelina Jordan.

@@ScottLeVocalCoachCan you react to and analyze “Good in Goodbyes”. She seems to use some different techniques in that song. Is there such a thing as adding vocal fry on top of vibrato? She seems to do it in this song in a few places so I looked it up and apparently it doesn’t exist as a singing technique. Have any idea what the hell I’m talking about? Lol?

Angelina, not only are you among the greatest singers in the music business, you are also one of the greatest lyricists in the business. This has been my default and lazy comment for all the songs on ‘Old Enough’. I apologize to Angelina, all the Angels, and reactors. I am now going to attempt to rate the songs on the EP. The first thing that I’ll make clear is that this is my opinion and as time goes on I may change my mind, but here goes. The top of my list is ‘Diamond’ - very powerful, her statement about the real start of her career.- she seems to be saying that the past is gone and this is my future. Next is ‘Fire And Rain’ - in this song she is saying that she is strong enough to face the future, and as long as the Angels stay by her side she will grow stronger and stronger. Next is ‘Now I’m The Fool’ - this is a very sophisticated look at someone being jilted. I hope it wasn’t Angelina. She is so good at expressing the emotions of others that I don’t think it was her, however, the end of the song is so powerful that it may make you reconsider. . Next is ‘Good In Goodbyes’ - this is a recovery song. There has been a bad relationship, but she has learned from it and it has made her stronger. The symbolism in these lyrics are almost as good as in ‘Love Don’t Let Me Go’. Next is ‘Love Don’t Let Me Go’.- the personification of Love - asking that even though she is placing most of her attention on her career she is asking Love to stay with her. These are the most sophisticated lyrics, I’m sure a lot of work went into this song. The last song from the EP is ‘All My Fault’ - though I think this is the weakest song on the EP, it is still an excellent song. This is an apology for a love gone wrong, and she is asking for another try. The major comment for all the songs is that they are all great. She not only has one of the greatest voices, her lyrics are sophisticated and impactful. Her previous covers and originals are excellent beyond belief, but they don’t approach the quality of any of the songs on this EP. The songs that come the closest to this EP are ‘You Say’ and ‘Million Miles’. I want to make clear that the above comments and evaluations are my interpretations of her lyrics. I want to reiterate that in my opinion Angelina and her songwriting team are among the best in the industry.

You create exceptionally high quality reaction videos (in content, production quality, etc); you have tremendous expertise, which you share/deliver in a very clear, easily understandable and educational and enjoyable way; You are one of the absolute best. And I'm not comparing you to the average individual creating reaction videos but am icomparing you to other vocal coach reaction videos; I enjoy and appreciate your work very much. One of reasons for my appreciation is that by learning about what Angelina is doing (the technical difficulties. the artistry, etc) causes me to adore/respect/love her even more; it is astonishing that how she chooses to sing each word (even each part of each word) are decisions that are made intentionally. Thank you very much. My only request is that since I am certain she is an artist that comes only once a generation, you prioritize her releases which I consider masterpieces

You should listen to Lucy Thomas (she is British), and she has the potential to be the new Barbra Streisand. She is currently 19, but like Angelina Jordan has a voice far beyond her years. Her top Three songs, IMHO best songs are ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ - kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJDHmmloa5d2eqc (a cover of an Aerosmith song), ‘Hallelujah’ - kzbin.info/www/bejne/apnNmJ6sqrB4iZo , ‘Memory’ from Cats - kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqeQlH2OZpyrr5Y. She recently added ‘Evergreen’ kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqTGep6QosZ2hMk - theme from “A Star Is Born”. Her musical track is musical-comedy, and she was selected for the lead in the musical ‘Rosie’. It was canceled because of Covid but has been rescheduled soon. She also does several duets with her younger sister Martha, they sound very good together. I have a playlist for her videos, you can find it on KZbin, search for ‘Lucy Thomas Playlist by Terry M.’
