Excellent, and she is 15. You want to get your mind blow even more, you know being a vocal coach how hard and how much more energy it takes when you sing sitting down. Check out Angelina covering Eta James, "I'd rather go blind", she is sitting on the couch, but not only sitting, but leaning forward, singing an epic performance at the age of 13. God Bless!

e pluribus u-num With all the gimmicks that are used in what is known as music today it is so refreshing to come across a being that does not need auto tune, lightshows, dancers, outrageous costumes, bands, or orchestras to cover their weaknesses because she has none. AJ can perform a Capella, or with one or two instruments to follow her lead and give you chills with each performance. I have always enjoyed all genres of music, and being 75, I have experienced the best the industry has to offer, from the early 50s, to 2023, but I have never been moved emotionally in the past anywhere close to what Angelina Jordan does from 7 to 17. When I heard Celine Dion perform in a tint in Québec when she was a child, I predicted she would be the next world superstar, and the rest is history. Celine did not sign a record contract until she was in her early 20s. David Foster, who made Celine a star flew to Norway after Angelina wone NGT and tried to sign her, but her family wanted to stay in control of her future. Angelina, at 13, appeared on AGT and getting worldwide recognition signed with the largest record company in the world at age 14, Republic Records. The story is that Monty Lipman, the CEO, and known as the Star Maker, personally signed her even without meeting AJ, he was shown a video of her performance. Angelina Jordan will be the next Super Nova very soon. As for being her biggest fan, e pluribus u-num.

Angelina was 15 in this video, she'll turn 16 next January. She got a mic with similar qualities for her 12th birthday, the performances she recorded at home with it at 12/13 are still one of my favorites.The vocal depth she's been adding to Adele or Lana del Rey - just gorgous.

Angelina is the Master of the "whisper voice". I know of no other singer that can make that Beautiful sound the way she can. And her runs/riffs are Magic; never gratuitous and always absolutely Perfect. Thank you Scott, for a wonderful analysis of her talent. Welcome back to Angelina. I’ve always enjoyed your reactions, knowledge, and explanations. You’ll see that Angelina has gotten even better in the past few years. She is so comfortable across multiple genres. For a side of Angelina that’s very different, try her original, Seventh Heaven. It is a kick, and it shows that any vocalists today who think they’re jazz singers need to listen to Angelina nailing old school jazz. So much of what Angelina sings takes me back to classic blues, soul, or ballads from 60 or 70 years ago, and she recreates that vibe so authentically. Seventh Heaven takes you back, with attitude, to good music that is infectiously upbeat-and as always, reflects Angelina’s positive attitude and hope. (Be sure to watch the studio version with Angelina singing this live.)

The riff at the end is where, in Michael's version, there is a chorus of children singing. Since Angelina is solo, she just adds the riff, but you're right. The fact that she had the breath control to do that is amazing!

Yeah, about that last riff. There's so much to love about Angelina's vocals I feel like her breath control gets overlooked. That breathy tone itself takes an enormous amount of air. Combine it with a long run and it's near miraculous. I imagine if she wanted to take up free diving as a hobby she'd be a natural. Love your reactions, but for a better take on Angelina's continued growth I'd suggest her cover of Adele's Easy on Me.

nice reaction. I doubt Angelina does any mistakes on her performances. Her super power is her vocalization. I can hear every single syllable. She is always doing something. Angelina is 15 years old now (Jan 2021). probably was 14 on this performance.

I saw at least one other angel suggest you react to "Cry Me a River" from Angelina's 2017 concert and I totally agree as I think it is jazz at it's very best.

The thing about impossible is, that if you don't tell them something can't be done, they often just do it. She's never been told what isn't possible, consequently, she just figured out how to do what she wanted on her own. That's why her sound is unique. No-one would ever teach someone to do the things she does.

Usually some people need explanations about what just occurred after listening to Angelina. Not in your case. Of course your technical savvy is top notch but you cannot hide your facial expressions which indicate the extreme joy you get listening to her. It's a pleasure tuning into one of your Angelina video's.

Would love your analysis of "FEELING GOOD, Live on the Stream Gir Tilbake" with a full jazz orchestra and televised live on national TV in Norway at 10 years old. Another live performance is with Alan Walker and a full blown orchestra on stage performance of 2 songs of his: Sing Me To Sleep and Faded also at 10 years old streamed live worldwide in front of a large audience.
