She didn’t win any award that night because she lacks of one big technique.. which what the Malaysians called ‘The Ajaism’.. Only one male singer got that special talent in Malaysia and no surprise he won big that night! For those who doesn’t know this technique,it’s located in the lower part of left testicle connecting to in between of male bun’s crack.It’s hard to projecting this skill but one male singer has succeeded flawlessly this year.Congrats!

Maybe the judges wanted to prove audience that eventhough she's is vocal teacher or can belt countless time in one song doesn't mean she can win the award which is very bias. Thank you for a great commentary.. A little background about the show: This is Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL, for short) - translated as Champion Song Award. It is a song competition, where the songs, composers are in competition. This is the grand final amongst 12 songs for the year 2019. It is in its 34th year. Song background: Aku Bersuara means I Voice Out. She voiced out her opinion, feelings and emotions. This song is about women voicing out against abuse. Ernie's performance concept: She was draped or cloaked in a "cocoon" of abuse or being victim before she spoke out or voice out into her suit, which resembles a butterfly, where she is or feels liberated. Extra info: Apart from awarding Champion song, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up, there are also two additional awards for Best Performance and Best Vocals. The controversy of AJL34: Unfortunately, after that performance, she was expected to be awarded at least with Best Vocals.. and she didn't.. and the Head Judge (who is NOT a vocal teacher) cannot properly justify why she didn't get the Best Vocal. He said the recipient that night had more feel or emotions in conveying his song! No one can comprehend that reason.. and everyone is enraged with this result and the head judge's justification! Aku Bersuara was also not recognized in the Song category as well. Also: For 2017, Ernie won Best Vocal in AJL32 for the song "Aku Cinta" together with Syamel (The composer for both Ku Bersuara and Aku Cinta). You can check that out. She is relatively "new" in the Malaysian mainstream music industry. She started music around 2010 in competitions and gained notice probably 2015/16.

She is very skilled and experienced,her techniques are flawless too,I love the part when she held a note for so long as if her lungs has endless air supply ,a lot of belting and her voice is still maintaining its resonance and not forgetting her powerful head voice as if I'm watching Cynthia Erivo but slightly abit lower...bravo for the very good vocal performance,👏👏 (I know she can do whistle but rather chose clean flageolet with that level of mastery,for me personally she's more proficient towards skills and techniques plus agility in those switchings) once more bravo,very well done 👏👏

And also react to Amir Masdi's cover - Dipenjara Janji. This malay song is one of the hardest songs to sing. And please react to Never Enough (The greatest showman) cover by Amir Masdi. It's also the hardest song to sing. He did amazing job for these 3 songs. I would love to know your analysis on his voice because he has such a unique voice among singers in Malaysia. Thank you. It's a huge singing competion and u are actually right that she should get best vocal but she didn't get it..everyone thought that she can win it but our judges didn't like it..we don't know why😭..And thank you cause you have same opinion like us and thank you react to Ernie Zakri☺️

Macam ni... Mana2 pertandingan juri atau vocal coach veteran mesti akan cakap... "you punya high note memang bagus tapi kena ingat high note is not everything... " disebabkan ayat2 macam ni kita dah banyak kekurangan penyanyi yg jenis all out dan sangat teknikal... Dulu kita mengharapkan Af menghasilkan penyanyi terbaik seperti Marha Milan, Idayu dll... Tapi sekarang penyanyi sampah macam acad motak dilambakan dan dipujakan... Aku jealous dgn penyanyi korea... Bbnu diorang semua boleh belt termasuk lelaki yang boleh mix dengan mudah... Ernie Zakri is fantastic! she did amazing in AJL but unfortunately didnt win. But everyone knows she deserve the award. By the way, can you react to Danial Chuer-Ku Bersuara(cover)? because i think he did great! and if you know Nephi Acaling, he once react to Danial's cover and he likes it. i think you might wanna react to the cover too and know another talented singer from Malaysia.
