One of Leslie Odom Jr.'s best songs is next, he has such great range and it is really on display in the next number! You can't just cut and paste various songs as they all play off one another. You would miss context of future songs by skipping any of them. Part of Lin's genius is that he has so many call backs from prior numbers at pivotal moments in the story, you really can't skip any of them. And they are all wonderful!

I Love Anthony as John in this song, he just so hilarious. He interrupts Burr for literally no reason and Anthony has to purposefully act drunk. It's just so good.

I don’t recommend skipping songs. LMM is a genius, every song exists with intent. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Wait For It (up next), Yorktown, Room Where It Happened, It’s Quiet Uptown and….. who am I kidding? You need to review them all

"The French guy" is an American and plays 2 parts. Lafayette and later Thomas Jefferson a prominent American and president later on after the events in this play. "Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette (6 September 1757 - 20 May 1834), often known simply as Lafayette, was a French aristocrat, a general in the American Revolutionary War and a leader of the Garde nationale during the French Revolution."

I'd recommend "Wait for it", "The room where it happens", and "One last time. Leslie Odom Jr. and Christopher Jackson are incredible singers. The whole cast is just so talented and all songs are just jawdropping!

Laurens interlude isn't really a song, it has singing but it's mostly giving important context for what Hamilton does in the rest of the musical.

Like others, I don't recommend skipping songs, even the short ones have something to offer vocally. But combining a few at a time would help. For example, this song is a nice bridge into Wait For It where Burr finally introduces us to himself. It would be interesting to get your take on the difference in tone when Burr is speaking/singing as part of the group vs when he is narrating to us, his audience. I think you are the first to mention the little softness in his voice here at the wedding... intentional as he is missing his girlfriend? 🤔

Daveed Diggs (Lafayette) is definitely an American. He's kind of a hometown boy for me, with him being from Oakland, CA, only about 15-20 minutes away from me.

I love Anthony Ramos(John Laurens) so much He has such a nice voice. Another musical written by Lin Manuel Miranda that stars Anthony Ramos would be 21 Chump Street. It's short- maybe 5 songs? And you could watch the vid here on youtube. It's under 20 minutes long- songs and dialogue included.

I think the Hamilfans would riot if you skipped songs 😂 But you could have someone who knows the play and soundtrack well to help you group songs together so that short songs could be grouped with the bigger numbers. Or something I've seen successful on other reaction channels is to livestream the soundtrack (audio only) and just try to bang out as much as possible in several longer sittings. Good luck

The French guy is not French and as a matter of fact, later in the play he plays Thomas Jefferson. Several folks play different characters in the second half after they either die or disappear in the first half.
