Welcome to the Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon Show a.k.a. American Idol. Although you may say that this year's edition of the American Idol is loaded with talents, I think Jeremiah is the only one that really stands out, I mean really really stands out. The day after, you still remember him and how he sounds. He will win but in the off chance that America bungles it again, Jeremiah will make it to the big times anyway, not because he is a phenomenal singer but because he is an amazing songwriter. If you're just a good voice, chances are you wont have long in the business. But if your a great songwriter like Jeremiah is, you're good for a marathon.

So America bungles it again, what's new. The judges were doubly stupid too. In the off chance is here and I am saddened for Jeremiah but hopeful that he will hunker down and start writing song and working hard. He should stop telling that sob story about his issues with his family, that thing is as common as a millennial refusing to vacate his parents basement nowadays. Don't talk about it, write about it and sing it. Write, write, write. Work, work, work. That's what decent folks do.

If he won he would have been held in a contract he wouldn't have wanted. (Ask Kelly Clarkson) He is already making his new album and will have much more opportunity on his own. American idol was a great starting platform for a nationwide audience to hear him. I've been listening to him locally for years and we have always said, he just needs a bigger platform. He got it. He's on his way!

React to my Facebook friend Piet Arion from Austria. He never had a singing lesson in his life, never entered a contest, works at a low paying job unrelated to music, yet..... I consider him my third favorite male vocalist in the world-right behind Dimash and Park Hyoshin. These 2 have had decades of experience. Mark my words. One day Piet Arion will have millions of followers worldwide -once he enters a reality show singing contest like the Voice UK or US. Right now he can’t afford to travel. In fact without the continued support of a few friend who donate to his PayPal account ( I’m 74 and on Social Security but manage to donate a little $$ every month so he can continue to make studio recordings which are not cheap to make. ). He recently made a tribute recording to a singer he loves. Her name Morissette and the song he chose to sing was “ akin ka na lang” Since his mother tongue is German ( English as a second language) a Filipino friend taught him the words and meaning of the song. It took weeks until he mastered the language and entered a recording studio to record it. He wasn’t expecting much of a response but from the moment he posted it on KZbin it EXPLODED!!! It’s been a couple months and it already has over 21,000 LIKES and close to 5000 Comments with 99 % of the comments reading “WOW” OMG! BEST VERSION by a FOREIGNOR and even better than any other filapino rendition. He’s the ONLY male vocalist to execute both whistle notes with vibrato and power. You MUST react ( if not publicly then please privately). In fact there were a few comments that said that Piet was lip syncing and the whistle notes were fake. So to set the record straight , a couple weeks ago he did another version ( version 2) which shows him introducing the song at home with one of the whistlenotes ( please react to version 2) it’s as good as or perhaps even better than his first version if that is possible. All you who are reading please react to the next future superstar.

I would highly recommend reacting and commenting on a singer named Dimash, specifically his performance of "SOS" on the Chinese singing competition called "I am a Singer" from 2017. I guarantee you will be hooked after that and consequently gain new subscribers from his huge fan base.

Yes Jeremiah was awesome...the best technical singer by a mountain.....but they threw him out like a used paper plate, and gave him lousy songs last week so he would lose the vote. They din't want real singers...especially if they are gay. What a shame. Just look at Sunday the 28th show. They kept the big fat guy who couldn't even remember his lyrics the week before. The whole thing is set up.

@@kymberlyward6683 How do contestants pick, arrange, and rehearse songs? Very quickly, and with varying amounts of help. After the live results are revealed, they learn the next week's theme, and are given a sampling of songs on a CD. In the past they were able to choose songs not in that collection, but starting last year during the semi-final rounds, contestants were forced to select one of around 50 songs. That ensured the producers would have permission to use the selected song, and ensured that contestants' choices wouldn't be too obscure. Contestants then work with professional musicians, from the show's vocal coach to the musician who creates arrangements. Musical director Ricky Minor and other musicians score the songs after listening to recordings of the contestants practicing....I still can't believe someone who the week before who couldn't even remember his lines in a verse of a song gets pushed through....and even if it's the voters call there was a chance to save Jeremiah in the "save" aspect of the show. Prior to that he had gotten RAVE reviews on every performance from the beginning. You might do well to research a few of them. I have never heard a man sing this sing....but I have NEVER heard it ever sung better. Jeremiah was miles above any of the other contestants in ability and lyric interpretation, phrasing, and vocal range. The songs he sang in his last performance just do not match the pattern of what he sang in prior performances. That's why it's difficult for me to understand he would have picked them. They clearly were not of the caliber of his prior selections. Again, it might have been that many didn't vote assuming he had it in the bag...that does happen. One only has to look at the 2016 election and clearly understand what a disaster that can come as a result of taking anything for granted. I looked forward every week just to see what Jeremiah was going to do, he was so outstanding. for anyone who has followed this show over the years, it is clear that "winning" is far from everything. Many who didn't went on to be international stars, like Adam Lambert and others. Jeremiah, did get something he never could have gotten anywhere else, and that is exposure and name recognition, and that is huge. What he does with it is up to him, and I wish him the very best. Before I go....take a look at this if you haven't seen it already.
