@wondertimomusic80294 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your reaction/analysis Rebecca! ❤️ 01:22 "Is that Tuomas?" It's Troy (British multi-instrumentalist/singer), Tuomas doesn't (usually) sing, he "only" writes all the songs 02:08 "prr prrr prrr" 😂❤️❤️ 03:33 "They just love images of the moon" Yes (as you found out after reaction) this song is about one of the founders of planetary science, Eugene Shoemaker, who always wanted to travel to moon. He was himself a possible astronaut candidate for an Apollo Moon travel, but was disqualified due to Addison's disease. However after he died in 1997, his dreams finally became true, since some of his ashes were carried to the Moon. He is the only person whose remains have been placed on any celestial body outside Earth. 04:20 "It's like a rollecoaster, you just don't know what's going to come" That is usually the case with Nightwish songs, and advantages of symphonic metal 04:33 "Who is speaking?" Johanna, she is Tuomas' wife. She is also singer of Auri (a band with Tuomas & Troy). The brass foil wrapping of Shoemaker's memorial capsule includes the quotation from Shakepeare's Romeo and Juliet we hear Johanna speaking in the song 04:52 "This is beautiful, listen now" Yes, and came totally off-guard. The words she is singing "Laudato Si Ad Astra" means "Praise To Be To The Stars" 05:04 "This is so lovely" 05:15: "THIS IS SO EPIC MY GOSH" 06:45 "A FIERCE SONG" 07:55 "Floor at the end, flooring it, so to speak, floorgasms a plenty, falling from sky" YESS, I also got multiple floorgasms during crescendo and really got floored at climax Never stop reacting RVA ❤️

The whole album really is the next dose of Nightwish I’ve been needing!!!! During the verses of this song her agility... chopping between those notes, and the way those notes are laid out, not easily. I can’t believe she’s able to hit those notes on pitch so precisely, so accurately; it’s breath-taking! It’s amazing she was able to do that along with the rest of the vocal acrobatics *and* nuances she always uses (which, let’s be honest, we’ve become accustomed to and expect... we’re spoiled by Floor) in the studio alone. Unless every note is locked into her vocal tracts muscle memory, I can’t fathom the strain and toll it would put her mind and body to be singing this every night with consistent precision while on tour without completely exhausting herself in all areas. Honestly, unless she’s got it fully locked into muscle memory, I can’t imagine this will be a touring song... and I’m ok with that. Every other song on the album is engaging and exciting in its own way. Floor is a goddess and equally important is the genius and technical keyboards skill of Tuomas, with Marko, Emppu (emmpu?), Troy, and Kai, all together they work like a precision machine. This album and *absolutely* this song are so great! I hope I get to see them live when they come through my region of the US! How lucky we are to have all six of these phenomenal humans (make that seven... I still can’t unlink Jukka from the overall current era of Nightwish!) working so beautifully together on this planet, sharing their gifts individually and as a unit, in a time period where we can download or stream each song and album into a mini supercomputer we keep at hand all day! We get to witness them. Here. Now!!! And Hey, Rebecca... I challenge you to make a video of you having memorized the first verse, singing it through with no editing (and a tuner where we can see your pitch precision)! That would be awesome for all of us!!! *you know you want to* Love from Midwest USA 🥰

Floor is the only person in the world who could pull this song off. The guitar parts follow the drum rolls and hits. This is a masterpiece of musical prowess. No one would ever dare to try to duplicate or improve on this. Nightwish has proven with one song that they are the best symphonic band in world history. I can say that as a guitarist of over 40 yrs trying to play along with this that you have to be on spot with those drum hits. That takes some sreious practice and endless work to get tight. I have heard them all and this is next level talent that is so inspiring. This is hard to learn and play along with. Empu is a great guitarist even though he does not shred in Nightwish. Hi Rebecca! You are one of the best vocal coaches/reactors I have come across on youtube. The way you let the music overcome you alluring and honest. You also pinpoint things that make the songs great, which we notice but can’t always put into words ourselves. Thanks for keeping us educated and entertained 😁💗

As always, a very lovely reaction. I totally understand now why Floor said this record was challenging for her. I feel like she has little room to breathe in a few songs... And this song is so very lovely! I love every part of it, but the ending... Yep, that got me. Tears in the eyes, emotions overflowing. It's just out of this world. Ehcnanting song with enchanting lyrics for a beautiful story.

Floor's style at the ending reminds me of the early 1900s opera singers. Light and full of clarity.

Having never seen a reaction video before you, when you popped up in my suggestions thingy, I thought, "okay, what's this then, can this vocal coach actually sing? If she can, what style and will she be biased? Hmm." I clicked to your channel first and saw you had done quite a few "reactions" already, and there were some artists I recognized. I begin scanning for an original song or cover song. Yup. Both!. Click. I listen to you sing and within seconds I'm certain you know what you're doing. You have a beautiful, unique tone that truly gives me those awesome chills. ANYWAY, I proceeded back to the suggested video, it was Jinjer's Pisces I believe, so there's that as well... another first for me too, I'm a huge fan now mind you but, yeah, thanks for sharing that same, very important musical moment with me. What I'm getting at is, your videos have helped me deal with this isolation, and by introducing me to a way to discover new artists, genres etc, I'm feeling many times more connected to world. AND I'm learning about technique. Geez, I'm getting choked up. Hey, thank you so very much Rebecca! Oh, and damn you're funny!! Stay safe and healthy and keep singing!

Hello, class act. It's Neal. Bangin' job as usual. I love how you acted surprised that you got something right. Hey, come on, you're a very smart girl! Laudato Si(praised) Ad Astra(to the stars) Yeah, Floor's vocal gymnastics are gold medal worthy, aren't they? As are yours. Take care, English Rose. Peace always.

I was going to suggest this very song to you but of course, by the time I got here, you had already reacted to it. A song right up your alley.
