You've got some hefty pipes, Sam!! Might be a stupid question, but have you gotten a lot of coaching to get that voice, or did you get a genetic royal flush?

I never, NEVER ever in my freaking life of 32 years, have heard a man sing like Sam and touch me with that talent like he does. His voice calms me down, he is pure joy. And his singing is like warm maple syrup in waves, flowing on a fluffy pancake with melting butter. He is absolutely 'singing' itself. Like, a personification of it. I never saw someone with that positivity and thrive singing and belting so effortlessly. It blows my mind. And really makes me feel freaking good.

Most of those talent show competitions totally fuck over the talent if they win, and many times if they even advance to any degree. Such as locking them into terrible contracts, forcing them to sing crap they don't want to sing, and other stuff. So while it is fun to watch those types on those shows, you can't feel anything but bad for a good many of them until they are able to break free from the deals they are duped into.

It s called self confidence people. If you don t have that and self esteem you re completely lost... I was told and auditioned for plays that I had real talent back in third grade choir. I had soloes in my Concert Acapella Choir with my director Torrence Carlson with an identical twin brother also a choir director. Was that ever a large charge meet him at on our concert Choir your to sing at at a Lutheran College with Winston Noble as our college choir director.What a blast we had staying there after our CRTJHS tour bus ride In Minneapolis,Minnesota trip. What a blast we did have in the dorms and then to sing the following day at the college. That s a trip I ll never forget!
@shirleyfunte30632 жыл бұрын
I could pick in Concert Choir where U fit in. I was third chair in the second soprano section and was Mary Ainsworth who was forth chair and angry at me for our doing her. Our director asked me to be the pianist for our choir,which I felt honored to be hand picked to play for them as he instructed us,but Carol who was also a pianist cried to me and the director that she wanted to be the pianist I couldn t stand her crying so I declined the position. I was too busy taking care of five kids after school each night in my highschool years and it was for a friend who was getting a divorce and needed my assistance. I had to babysit for five families every week. One had nine kids on the weekend plus I cleaned two family homes alternately untill I turned 18 years old. You might say I gave up to my friends my time. I had to earn my own clothes and lunch money to buy my own clothes and shoes and nylons for school my parents informed me if I wouldn t accept second hand clothes from our church friends and neighbors.I felt embarrassed in school from wearing clothes that were from highschool students when I was third grade on up till when I picked strawberries for our next door neighbors who had a business. I ll tell you it s no picnic working all summer from 3am till 3pm everyday plus Sunday picking on my hands and knees untill the crop season was over. I had the nicest and newest in style clothes from name brand stores versus wearing someone's old clothes they no longer wanted to wear.I felt good about myself. I believe if every kid would do as I did that kid would have a good life and savings account like I had at my parents bank with my own bank savings account from 9 years old. I paid rent to my folks for living at home each week. I had no car ,but paid for gas to go to work in a factory the following day after highschool graduation and earning my diploma. Everything I made each week going with dad to my People s Bank stashed every penny that I made after rent and investing went to the bank savings account. I out my first fruit pickings of no e dollars in of my own money earnings not my parents earnings,but mine 😂 . I had sweat blood and tears and walked or got picked up or dropped off by my relation when I worked or babysat for those five kids ,who were all sisters and one brother. Their last name was Mease.I hated those messes to pieces,but was good to them. I made them help me clean their house as their mom was a barmaid I'm a nearby tavern uptown in Cedar Rapids,Iowa. The taxi if she couldn t take me home would pay for my taxi cab ride back home. That was nice and I later got to know the driver who worked for the police department as a detective then later in life I met him again as The a company CEO as the Vice president o f a new company owned by the president Richard Edward Miller and that was my charter drawn up by our company lawyers as their company CEO as their Public Relations spikes person. It became REM Iowa....
