The same for Jessica Sanchez, who was cut and saved by the judges and finished 2nd to Phillip Phillips. If I remember correctly, the judges didn't have a save left for Pia or they would have used it.

I remember Pia from American Idol. She's improved by leaps and bounds since then! She was always a really good singer, but her presence and delivery has grown exponentially since her Idol days. She's added some flavor to her vocals with the riffs and runs she did (I don't remember her doing that on Idol, but it's been a long time since I've heard/seen her, so I could be wrong about that). Her performance seems much more natural now, as she appeared fairly wooden on Idol. Everything about the way she sings and performs is better now!

I loved hearing your video especially when you stated about sound. I sing in my church as a praise singer and sometimes there are those who really don't understand that it's hard when you have a medical condition which has a side effect of either shortness of breath or fast breathing. I have Epilepsy Seizures and it take two prescribed medications by my neurologist. However, I teach online as an English as a Second Language Teacher where I focus on pronunciation, fluency, grammar, sounds, reading, writing, and speaking. It is hard for me to sing when the words are cut off with sounds such as if a word has the letter "g" at the end of it such as "everything". I hear many of the musicians say "everythin'". I used to have a Vocal Coach when I lived in another state, but I didn't care for her too much after she mentioned that all she ever heard me say was the "h" sound. The relation to my job and singing has to do with pronunciation, sounds, and speaking. I like how you mentioned about being able to add a letter to specific word when it comes to singing. I guess in some ways that I am probably too much of a perfectionist feeling like I have to get the word right and say it correctly.

Eric Carmen's version of this song has a beautiful piano/orchestra section in the middle. I'm always surprised that David Foster doesn't do that version, as he is a piano player.
