Su is usually singing over loud, ferocious metal music, although she does have a few softer ballad solo songs. She was a child star of sorts, having started singing on stage when she was 8 years old or so. She attended Actors School Hiroshima and was in a couple of idol groups. Babymetal is an offshoot of one of those idol groups. She has incredible stage presence and charisma and is well known for her straight style and using very little vibrato. In their home country (Japan) Babymetal regularly sells out 20,000 person arenas so she has a lot of experience singing before very large audiences.

The original Monochrome has metal instrumentation and it has a lyric video if you want to listen to it. Piano versions of songs are quite rare for Babymetal. There's only been three, Monochrome included. The other two are Akatsuki (unfinished version), and The One Stairway to Living Legend version. Both Akatsuki and The One, whether with metal instrumentation (which Budokan 2021 are the best versions), or the piano versions do a really good job at showcasing her voice.

This is a rare non-metal performance by them. Go listen to the original version of this song, there was a recent concert called "The Other One" where they performed this with their band.

The three girls was used to tease fans because they used to be a trio between 2010 and 2018. Former member Yui left due to health reasons. The talles girl of the girls in white is believed to be momoko who was one of the dancers who danced in Yui’s old spot. She was the only dancer in her spot from 2020 to 2023 on April 1 the revealed momoko was now a permanent member of the group under the stage name MOMOMETAL. They have another first take with momo called the one it was probably first thing she did with them.
