I'm not sure if they are using backtracks. There was one performance where they were supposed to sing again after winning in an award show. They were happy they won so they decided to have fun. They switched rap lines with vocal line for the song fake love - Rappers sing the singing part, singers rap the rap parts. The rappers were hysterically bad with the singing n forgot the lyrics so V & jimin came in to sing their parts from time to time, & their voices sounded exactly the same as when they sang at any other time. I was blown away. Absolutely no backtracks. They are totally legit.

Their live performances always have backtracks, especially those where they have to do choreo. But the encore performances for music shows are completely live (which is the example you mentioned). It’s the same for all artists in kpop.

I love that you love Jimin. Jimin is kpop idol of 2019 in several polls, also voted most all rounded kpop idol of 2019, and has an unbroken monthly streak as idol with highest brand value. Most amazingly, he's sweet, humble and kind in real life. When the reporters' were mistreating bts at the jingle ball red carpet yesterday, V was so done, but Jimin stayed cool & composed.

all the memebrs are amazing and irreplacabe..the group needs a Chim to keep them calm and happy, but the group also needs a V to show that they are human and it is not okay to mistreat them....I lvoe that BTS has members who represent, adn then members like Suga and Tae who tell it how it is and dont care about the consequences...it balances out so nicely.

The emotional impact of this performance as well. They incorporated/performed a bunch of the older songs around debut so the nostalgia hit hard. To see them able to perform those songs now really shows how much they've grown.

Yes, the audience in the venue saw RM performed it live and us watching on TV saw what you saw. Same goes with with V, Jin, RM, and JK (minus water). The rest performed live so what we saw on TV is what the live audience saw. They're so dedicated, they didn't just want to sit around.

The entire performance was such a pleasure as an old time ARMY - all the throwbacks to their first/old releases juxtaposed with their newer stuff.
