It’s crazy to think people actually think she’s not a good singer.. I’m not a 100% fan of all her music but she sings so beautiful and make me feel good! I like her and well Coldplay.. they are the best!!

The problem is through the years she hasn't been consistent, has relied on lip syncing and a loud backtrack. She's also not someone with much to her voice or technique, though she does have a unique tone. Her music doesn't show off her voice in the way it should. She's very much been marketed as a pretty face from Disney. It doesn't help that she came up next to other singer's like Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus etc, all during this time where the favourite kind of songs to listen to and performances to watch were ones that included crazy high notes, belting, runs/riffs. She would fit more during this more recent situation in the industry where people prefer soft voices. I think she sounds her best here. I never expect much from her.

I hate how ppl give Selena Gomez alot of criticism but at the end of the day I don't always enjoy a high loud singing tone like Beyoncé or Ariana all the time and actually like Selena Gomez soft sweet singing sometimes so who care about the haters... Most Selena Gomez haters are probably Demi Lovato or Ariana Grande fans which is nothing wrong with them cuz I like them both as well. P.S. I love the beginning that Chris is saying his voice his so sweet and humble.

I'm following her since her Disney era....the thing is she is always an amazing singer not in high note kind a but she is such a beautiful vocalist if you see her before STAR DANCE tour live she have an amazing live performance but in star dance tour she found that she had a lupus she canceled her entire tour but some people started hated on her without knowing the real truth and her haters spread this trend she can't sing and all...on REVIVAL era her condition was so poor doctor even said her to take care but still she continued just for her fans that's why her live performance was disappointed... in revival tour she sings so well..but in mid tour she get hospitalized and canceled her tour because her condition worsened and had both kidneys fail..she was in the face of her life where she she didn't know if she could survived but thankfully her 15 hr operation was succeed she was in trauma because of all things she was going through still she didn't stop and always smile behind pain and than in RARE era she had to perform on amas but that was also disappointing because she got panic attacks right before live but she didn't stop she perform for her fans even after she gets amount of hate and laughing on her...but she didn't stop its not easy for any human to survive this amount of pain and hate...so many people die because of this trauma....even in this performance she was so perfect because she come back stronger and healthier....she have courage to do anything but her body doesn't support her she gets fat easily she gets red marks but it's all her...I don't know why we are so dumb that didn't understand what others are going through.... if someone tries then why we have a problem and started finding wrongs..why only hate even on her disease like seriously...where is humanity??? I'm so done..🥺🥺🥺💜

I really enjoyed the song on the performance. It's a beautiful song and their voices blend really well. Sometimes the artistry is in what the person does with what they have with their voice- they might not have a Mariah style vocal range but they use what they have in a different way.

I don’t like Selena as a singer, but I’m this performance with Coldplay, I feel, she met her vocal match. There’s ease when she sings because the range is super low, which is her range- that of a backup singer, not a lead singer. She cannot handle anything higher than this. I also think lupus may have affected her vocal cords in the original recording. Her voice is so nasal, like congested. In this love her voice is clearer and spot on. Go listen to the record recording and this performance to notice the difference. I give her a a very generous 6.5. She just doesn’t marvel.
