OG VIDEO; • Corey Taylor - Snuff (...
ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?
Also thank you for all your support. It means a lot.
Subscribe to Rebecca Vocal Athlete to get inspired by new videos weekly!!
Have a great day!!
Rebecca

what numadread says is 100% true this is the last song he worte with paul grey before he died . But the song is really straight forward and talks about a girl that he loved and and that he did not deserve. The second part (starting with 'I still press your letters to my lips') talks about him missing her and her not fighting to keep their love strong. In the end she sold him out to save herself, meaning that she used him.

Unlike what people believe, this song is not about Paul Grey. It is about a past relationship. ""This is the slow one. It's another personal one. Again, not naming names, it's about someone who helped me through a lot and I thought she felt the same way that I did and then she really let me down. At the same time, it was good that she did, because it was that final push to me figuring out myself. The lyrics are pretty self-explanatory." - Corey Taylor"

Well obviously you now have to react to Corey Taylor in his persona as #8 in the band Slipknot (this is actually a Slipknot tune although I've never seen the band do it live). The Slipknot list of songs is huge, always best live of course (and KZbin has a lot of great live Slipknot videos available) - Surfacing, Duality, Spit it Out, Wait and Bleed, Devil Inside are notable favorites of mine (and many folks). These are straight up raw metal (different people will argue different sub-genre, but Slipknot is metal first, sub-genre second), the lyrics are much, much more aggressive, but still meaningful. Again this demonstrates the versatility which can exist in metal. So please, pick a different Slipknot track, react and compare.

That's how I found him. I told someone that's a voice I'd love. When told he sang for Slipknot I wondered why as I'd only heard an early noise song. But then I hit some from the 3rd album on when his voice & the music started to have a musicality to it. Each album blew me away more. I'm nervous since the new album's supposed to go back to Iowa which isn't my bag but we'll see.
