It's a contest for the audience and a panel of celebrities try to guess who is the singer. So each contestant has a disguise and they have to stay in disguise until they are far away from the place where the show is held to maintain anonymity. We have a similar show in the U.S. called the Masked Singer, I know, our creativity is showing. Diana has such a unique voice that they were trying to give her every opportunity to go as far as she could. The was the show where she was finally found out. She does a reprise of the song without the head gear. But that' the reason for the costume.

это шоу маска и певцы должны максимально запутать судей и публику, т.е. каждую новую песню петь не своим и разным голосом. потому что если они не смогут запутать судей, то их быстро угадают и откроют маску, а значит певец вылетает из шоу. победитель тот, кого не узнают до конца шоу. Диана в этом шоу прошла 9 туров, хотя угадали ее на 7. когда с Дианы сняли маску, она пела эту песню на бис как бы. и такое видео тоже есть на ютубе. она в том же костюме, но без маски и лицо ее прекрасно видно.

Диана в этом сезоне, впервые участвовала в таком шоу, она исполнила 9 песен, прежде чем ее разгадали, причем она так искусстно, имитировала голоса других певиц и их манеру исполнения, что ей долго удавалось вводить судей и зрителей в заблуждение. Диага выступала в образе Горностая в великолепном костюме, который сам выглядел как произведение искусства! Попробуйте найти и посмотреть, все эти 9 выступлений, они у многих уже выложены в интернете, а в конце советую посмотреть видео, где сама Диана показала то, как и что происходило, за кулисами во время съемок Горностая, после того как Диане , пришлось снять маску, потому что в конце, она сама себя выдала ,своим уникальном голосом, который не узнать было, конечно невозможно. Мне лично из этих выступлений понравилась ария, " Улетай на крыльях ветра...", из оперы," Князь Игорь" Бородина, думаю что и вам это исполнение понравится. Желаю Вам получить довольствие от этого нового свидания с Дианой!

It is sad that the guy who sent you this video keeps on recommending these clips which have Diana's voice distorted. The highest note she did here is the note C6 it is not a whistle note as you said and until yesterday this was her highest note, but she just released a new original song where she hits and sustains for about 4 seconds a clear D6 no vibrato, extremely impressive because Diana is a Contralto and it seems that this D6 is not even the highest she can go. You should definitely hear this new song by the way or hear "Polyusko Polye" where she shows very well both of her ranges low and high.

This was her 6th performance in a row in the Ermine costume. She fooled the judges, then decided she preferred to sing in her own voice, which she clearly did in large parts of this performance. The rest of the singers recognized her voice quickly, and she unmasked after she finished the song. At the end of the program, she reprised the tune unmasked, but still in costume. Does anyone truly believe that she thinks she sounds like a man on purpose? She has a voice that makes many voice teachers jealous, and it shows in their reactions. Interesting.

She didn't unmask after singing this song (in Episode 6) She unmasked at the end of Episode 9. She did so not because the judges recognised her, but because the audience voted her off the show and the judges didn't reprieve her (as they had done when the audience had voted her off in one of the previous episodes).

I apologize for the link in my previous post, which does not work, which is due to the fact that the NTV channel asks KZbin to delete videos where there are recordings from the show "Masked Singers". hi Linor Oren, she is a so called contraltor with a polyphonic voice. it's unbeliveble what she can do. sometimes it doesn't sounds like a humen voice. i only know this because i has googled it. i hope you can do a reaction of angelina jordan new EP only with originals songs of her. i rememer you has done some of her in the past. diana and she are both very special singers.

This is the mask show. The jury must guess who this artist is. Therefore, Diana disguises herself a little and sings differently than usual. I too would like to see a reaction to that wonderful and very interesting performance. It isn't an aria though. It is an arrangement of the slave chorus in the first part of the scene "Polovtsian Dances."

@@jackburgess8579 You are probably right. I do not understand this and am not familiar with the opera Prince Igor, so I named the aria. But I really liked Diana's performance and I would like to know how this performance will be assessed by a person who understands opera singing.

@@user-cx6ry7lo1s The Wikipedia entry for "Polovtsian Dances" explains it all (and includes and English translation of the lyrics of the slave chorus lyrics that Diana sings ). I haven't yet seen a professional opera singer's reaction to the performance. But of course several have reacted to other performances by Diana (with astonishment and fulsome praise). In case you don't know of them, I especially recommend "The Charismatic Voice" (female) and "Peter Barber" (male). They are both very accomplished opera singers. Also, as you probably know, the judge who is first to stand up in Diana's performance of "Can't help falling in love" is Yusif Eyvazov, a world renowned operatic tenor and husband of one of the world's best operatic sopranos, Anna Netrebko.

@@user-cx6ry7lo1s PS If you would to hear an opera singer perform the work - although the arrangement is even worse than the one prepared for Diana - search YT for "fly away on the wings of the wind Evgeniya Sotnikov." (I think Diana sings the piece really beautifully, and much more interestingly than does Evgeniya Sotnikov. She once said that that she would sing anything except opera, but I understand that she is no longer so opposed to it. I would really like to hear her perform classical songs or arias with original classical instruments.)
