And for 24 seconds in one breath. Dimash's name is on a microchip on board spaceship Perseverance, so since a couple of days he is back where he came from, on Mars. There is a concert version of Autumn Strong where the mic is in his outstretched hand and he still sounds as strong as with a mic in front of his mouth.
The piano player he thanked at the end wrote the song. The singer of the group A-Studio had died, and in this concert they were backing up guest vocalists. It has been said that the tribal vocalization was a tribute to the dead singer, as it is similar to a technique usually used by women in Kazakh funeral ceremonies. (The band A-Studio was originally from Kazakhstan). This concert was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up in the first row, Igor Krutoy, who is a composer / promoter famous in Russia. Since this concert, he has been collaborating with Dimash, writing music with his vocal range in mind, and often accompanying him on piano. So you'll see more of him.

@@JacobBurtonStudios There was a lengthy reply I don't think you saw I added to your "Show Must Go On" reply, with information about Gloria Wu's videos of Dimash on Singer 2017 you might find useful.
@EK-tf2eo3 жыл бұрын
"Sinful Passion" was created in 1998. First vocalist of A'Studio left the band two years after the formation of "Sinful Pasion", in 2000, and pursued his individual career, and died in 2015 (three years before Dimash sang the song). A'Studio is a band with an established position on the (not only) Russian market with many foreign concerts (they have been touring with a new singer - woman - for many [16] years). A'Studio was invited by Igor Krutoy to participate (individual concert) in the 2018 edition of the New Wave festival. Krutoy also invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. This is how "Грешная страсть" (Sinful Passion) was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It was an inspiration for a joint performance, not singing as tribute of the former singer (which is sometimes circulated among commentators and what you are repeating senselessly). In place of the original purely pop instrumental part (inserts), Dimash included (after the last chorus) his opera vocalise, a stylized onomatopoeic (like a lament) eastern ornament and the words "дай мне, дай" (give me, give) with a 23-second melismatic on the last syllable, which are not a simple substitute for a pop musical theme, but an extension of the story sung earlier in words. The onomatopoeic laments, mainly funeral, are present in various cultures. Traditions of saying goodbye or mourning the dead (verbal, poetic or musical lamentations) are known in cultures all over the world, including modern ones, and processed many times in art. In "Sinful Passion" this artistic stylized lament is closely related to the story told in the song. The most important in Dimash's singing is the substantive function of this ornament in the whole structure of the song. It is an element in the story of lost love! Can't you hear it? Kazakh funeral folk ceremonial named Joqtaw is multi-element, related to the mourning period (it lasts 40 days), including, among others, poetic memories and lamentations. It is Central Asian ceremonial, originally oral (narrated) epic, regret for the dead, associated with the mourning period; a folk genre of creativity (also settling in sublime poetic forms) realized by Kazakhs, like by many other Turkic peoples, related to mourning themes, traditionally performed with the accompaniment of dombra.

Hello, I’m from Brazil! For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

Thanks for your reaction, hope you go on with The Singer competition, at least the covers of Autumn strong (in Mandarin) and Adagio are spectacular! Although it is now 4 years ago and he developped a lot since then... (hardly to believe...). And yes, you are right, Dimash is not "just" an incredibly skilled singer. In a latest interview Dimash said what he painfully experiences during these pandemic lockdowns is that he is a performer. He NEEDS the stage and the audience and he misses that terribly. He puts everything into the presentation of a good song and gets totally absorbed in it. And because he can do everything with his voice, he can perform any song and any style, he can tell any story in any language and we undersand and feel him even without knowing the lyrics. He is so believable in his (stage) presence that he can touch so many hearts and souls with his music. That's what makes him so special. Love him!

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "Popera" he also has a very pleasant, Humble and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, against TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato,whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela🇻🇪, "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. However as in this song, nobody else in the world has the range and vocal flexibility to do what he can do. I find that while I've grown up with the idea that standing ovations are a great way to honour an artist in the west, I've grown fond of the way the east honours artists. Even their every day language, in translation, seems almost poetic. They bow, they're always polite even with introductions, give flowers. Dears leave his favourite foods, decorate his backstage space with flowers and gifts, even in honour of his family and team. I like the difference. So the audience not giving him a standing ovation for me isn't important because they show not just him, but his family much honour and respect. Its seems to be their way of life which I like. Doesn't need to be all up in your face showy. Many artists in the east seem to feel comfortable and safe around their fans and audiences. Diko often appears to walk about airports calmly, humming along and/or singing and chatting with Dears who always come to greet him. It's very endearing.

I just want to say thank you a lot for saying out loud how a good story teller Dimash is! I've seen some people comparing him to an unexpressive robot, that only has the range, and I can't understand why they don't see what we, us Dears and you see! He clearly is not only singing but "speaking" to us if that makes sense. His stage presence and conveying the feelings of the song is one of his specialities, and I can't deny that it triggers me a little when someone doesn't see it when it's right there, and so we'll done 😅 thank you so much again! ❤️

I offer a little information about the song "Sinful Passion". This song is old. She's over 20 years old. Music by Baigali Serkebayev, and the words to this song were written by the famous contemporary Russian poet Ilya Resnick, author of many Russian music hits The first performer of this song was a singer from Kazakhstan Batyrkhan Shukenov (he died in 2015). Dimash sang this song for the first time in Russia in Sochi at the New Wave Festival on September 9, 2018. He didn't imitate the first performer. Dimash used all his phenomenal abilities and made a completely different interpretation of this song. I can't remember a single song where the singer changed 5 voices (from baritone to soprano) and 4 octaves in one song. And Dimash did it easily. At the end of the song, Dimash sang vocals for 22 seconds in one breath.Dimash tells a great story and draws us into it. Many viewers cry, others have chills. And all together they sit like under hypnosis ///////////////////////////////// Предлагаю немного информации о песне "Sinful Passion".

Thanks, Jacob, for an outstanding analysis of "Sinful Passion". If you ever get to vacation in Kazakhstan, Dimash's main voice teacher, Marat Aitimov, sometimes gives a masterclass. He also taught Dimash's mother, an operatic soprano, beginning before Dimash was born. A lot of vocal coaches want to know just how and what the heck Marat teaches. I nominate you as our emissary. :-)

@@JacobBurtonStudios roger that. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6mvmaqce6uIh9U here you go sir. As well please notice the position of his "Adam's apple" on the "up-slide" part of the song in this video. My question to you as professional - is it normal positioning for mixt to flageolet? Because Im freaking out thinking that these notes is still his middle mixt? (In next videos you will see him shooting out F7 and D8 with vibrato and belt power (heavy)). P.s. imma pianist not vocalist. Tho i had vocal classes in adademy. And Dimash freaks me out. Ive seen/played with a lot of singers.

You were clearly fascinated how Dimash fitted that middle eastern part in. In another song, Know, he takes his blending of different vocal traditions to the next level, creating a coherent improvisation from classic, pop, jazz, and middle eastern elements. React to the two versions of Know at New Wave 2019 and Know Vocalise at the Arnau Tour concert in March 2020 in Kyiv to see how he does it and how he develops it.

Yay!! I've been anxiously waiting for your next Dimash Reaction Video and now, thankfully, gratefully, it's here! What I find absolutely fascinating in your reaction is the fact that 9 out of 10 other reactors (supposed vocal coaches yet!?!), whom I've watched, actually ask what is going on with the vocal lamenting trilling? First, I simply cannot believe they've never even heard this, let alone where it originates. And they call themselves vocal coaches??? Kinda says a lot about why you've become my favorite. AWESOME reaction, Jacob with this one, especially, being so packed full with pointers that singers need to know. One last thing--I'd love to hear you comment on how, just after finishing that part, as things ramp up, he hops--actually HOPS--while never bouncing off key!!

Thank you Lauri!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ His ability to HOP is quite a special gift! He definitely surprised us with that one!
