Fun fact : EXO best vocalists, Chen and Baekhyun just trained for 4 months before debut (usually idols will training for years before debut like suho, he trained for 6.5 years before debut as EXO members) So both of them improve their vocals in this 8 years while being a singer and performer. In fact, now Baekhyun still takes a vocal lesson to improve his vocal. D.O is also amazing as those two but he didn't get so much exposure in singing compare to Baekhyun and Chen because of his acting career

both of them are amazing in their own ways. No need to argue. Chen also said Baekhyun had mastered some vocals technique and keep improving day by day. While Kyungsoo has improve a lot too. We don't know who is better technically because they don't have a chance to show its, compare to last few years. I don't think we have to argue who is better at bla bla... Just appreciate their hard work and talents. Enjoy their music. Just that

@beauty inside KyungSoo's vocie is so clam and attractive but he is a very little bit low in singing technical than Baek.. that mean not these boys has in low level.. EXO's vocal is another level all we know..... I'm not biased and just tell what I see... Baek has the best singing technique in EXO Chen is Genius who don't need effort in singing So baek practice everyday to improve himself becuz he has just 4 months training...

The one you said seems "over it" is D.O. To me, his voice is like melted butter. But he's actually explained his look before, since people always think he's sullen. He has really bad astigmatism, but he can't find lenses that fit and they don't want him wearing his usual glasses when they go on shows. So he's always super focused and almost glaring when he has to look around and he looks super intense. On top of that, he's fairly even-keel. As opposed to like Baekhyun who can be pretty wild, D.O is a relatively simple dude. Also wildly talented, hes a solid actor too. But he's just kind of a straightforward dude. Also, we would go to their shows more, but they haven't toured in America since 2017. I went to the SuperM concert, which I knew was gonna be kinda crappy (thrown together last second, only have 7 songs counting the 2 unreleased, just felt disjointed), just so I could see them. We want to see them, it's just we'd have to fly to Korea or Japan to do so.

Seeing this video makes me miss them even more in the year-end song/music festivals... They actually always performed songs that were perfect for the time of the year/season and not just the regular idol comeback music. Plus they always got asked to do duets with female veteran singers or to do the tribute performances for artists from the 80s-90s era of Korean folk rock. Chen singing I Loved You, and Baekhyun singing Like Music, Like Rain were such nice performances. Also, Chen singing with Lee Eun Mi and Baek Ji Young were such good crossovers.

I have something I think you'd love. It's acapella but incredibly good. Their name is Pentatonix. It's a 5 person group that won "The Sing Off" in 2011 and they've only grown from there. I recommend starting with their original "Run To You" or their cover of "Hallelujah". Both have incredible harmonies and the bassist....they started with Avi Kaplan, who is a classic opera-trained basso profundo with 5 octaves. They now have Matt Salee, who is incredible as well. Please give them a chance. I promise you won't regret this rabbit hole.

Yeay for finding out they're called EXO/exo (not the acronym) hehe. We'd go to more shows if they actually had them and we could all get tickets. The difficulty for males you talk about hmm... Is that why most boy group songs use a lot of falsetto? Chen had a show recently where he went busking with non idol male singers and the thing they kept commenting about was the volume of his voice and his use of strong head voice or something. They also explained that non idol singers think there is a textbook way that idols sing that makes their voices recorded or heard better in shows, they say the idols seem trained to always keep a certain volume. They were older artists, and one of them kept mentioning how he kept asking Chen if the highlight on Beautiful Goodbye was head voice and if Chen can tell him how to do it lol. Funny because he kept mentioning it even 2-3 months after they filmed.
