Well, there is the Royal Empire and the bloody continent. That's all. But you can't be annoyed listening to this nice lady. The continent always will secretly love the Brits even if we don't understand them :). Switzerland has four official languages: German in the central and northern part (Bern, Basel, Zurich, French in the west: Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux, Sion..., Italien in the South (Locarno, Lugano, Ascona, Bellinzona) and Rhaeto-romanic in the south east mostly Canton of Grisons. So wondering why Swiss are singing French is like being hit by the fact that some people from UK have Scottish accent.
@adas98483 жыл бұрын
French is one of the languages spoken in Switzerland. In the old times of Eurovision where the countries had to sing in their own language, Switzerland took turns one year in French, the next in German and the next in Italian (not sure on the order).

English lyrics! Let the wind that brushes His hand on my shoulder The void in my head Not the slightest hiding place It's the dawn that is declining Behind a field of ruins Time to grow up Don't hold back I see pieces of you behind us And what the pain has done to me The whole universe Our two hearts under the earth In the middle of the cracks where everything explodes Be at the point of impact Without you What will become of our breaths If they stay on the edge? This love that twists us I see pieces of you behind us And what the pain has done to me The whole universe Our two hearts under the earth In the middle of the cracks where everything explodes Be at the point of impact Without you Behind my eyelids Find air (Ah) The whole universe Our two hearts under the earth In the midst of rifts and waves We meet at the point of impact How do we heal our bursting hearts? @@HonestVocalCoach Thank you for your reaction. I really like your comments on the Eurovision entries this year. I really loved you mentioning Massive Attack because I got the same feeling too. Some minutes ago, I asked you some questions about the Spanish entry and now I would really appreciate it if you could answer my following questions about this entry compared to the Spanish entry, which I consider both of them the same style more of less. As a vocal coach and as an expert, I would really like it if you could answer me the following questions. In order to answer my questions, please let’s focus on the songs and not the videos. 1- In your reaction on the Spanish song, you said that the Spanish one was quite forgettable. Could you please explain in more detail why you thought that of the Spanish entry and you don’t think the same about the Swiss one? In my opinion, although I find the Swiss entry very good too, I find the Swiss entry flat (plain) and boring compared to the Spanish one. What are your thoughts about this? Please remember that we are focusing on the songs only. 2- Why is the Swiss entry one of your favorites? In which way is the Swiss entry so different to the Spanish one? 3- According to the bets, the Spanish entry is placed bottom 5 and the Swiss entry is on the top 5. As an expert, how would you justify such a big difference? What would your reasons be? I am looking forward to your answers. Love and respect from Spain.

French is one of 4 languages spoken in Switzerland. I love this song and video. Goosebumps every time. (From Wiwibloggs) The song finds its opening inspiration in the theme of growing up in a world that can often turn empty, harsh, and cold. “. He vividly describes how hard it can be for us to pick up the pieces of a lifetime of baggage from past hurts when he emotes the lines, “It’s time to grow up, don’t hold yourself back, I see pieces of you behind us, and I see what pain has made me.” Intense! But the chorus then kicks in with the even more important, and central theme, of the song: Everything boils down to loving one another, and taking that risk to love again, even when we’ve been hurt in the past. . Gjon’s words seem to almost want to move us to realise that there is power in the beautiful love between two people. When we allow ourselves to let go of the brokenness that remains from past relationships and open ourselves up to love again, anything is truly possible!

Hi!!! I guess I agree with all the comments you made about his voice and the video. I find his voice completely stunning and gorgeous, and also his changes of tone. He has something else, something different, that always gives me goosebumps, and I can say the same about this video. As you said, there's magic and epic and it's deeply emotional and, altogether with the song, makes the perfect match. I fell in love of Gjon's voice the first time I heard it and by now I've heard other songs from him, like "Repondéz-moi", which he was gonna take to the Eurovision contest last year (it was cancelled, because of the Coronavirus) and also "Babi", and the more I hear him, the more I love him. He's really really talented and still so young!!! I'm convinced he has a lot to offer artistically. And, if what I said wasn't enough, I've seen several interviews and some Instagram lives from his account and he looks such a sweet and nice guy. So humble, down-to-earth and caring that I want to give him a hug. He looks like an adorable boy, appart from his talent, and that's a plus point for me too.
