Thank you for mentioning the background singers. Because Ariana and Kelly are so great you get so distracted from what’s happening around them. But paying attention to the background is so worth it. Those background singers are insanely good. One of the all time best Christmas songs, hands down. At least on the same level as Mariah‘s „All I want for Christmas is you“. This one is my favorite think. They‘re just awesome

The contrast reminds me of an older Broadway lovesong duet; Ari is the sweet voice while Kelly is the deep voice - both powerhouses. The difference is they're both women and their ranges overlap a decent bit so they can REALLY blend amazingly in addition to the contrast. It's absolutely PERFECT.

What's truly mind blowing to me that few people comment on is how quickly Kelly drops into that harmony at the end. You can literally see the split second she had to drop into the lower harmony and she did it effortlessly

My all time favorite Christmas song is "Why Couldn't It Be Christmas Every Day" by Bianca Ryan, who was in fact the very first winner of America's Got Talent back in 2006. The song was a massive hit here in The Netherlands and still is to this day. She had it released in the same year she won AGT, when she was 12 years old.

"Registerical change" I LOVE IT 😂 I also think it's super challenging how they switched harmonies! Kelly comes off a high belt into the lower harmony ("I don't need a thing"), then when they sing the next part ("What I want for Christmas"), Kelly takes the higher harmony. It's so beautiful!
