I'm from Costa Rica and this is a song that always make me see myself beyond the frontiers. In the world there are nations that only thinks in itself. Like an only child, spoiled and alone. But here, in Latinoamerica, we are nations with brothers and sisters: México, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Cuba, República Dominicana, Puerto Rico, Panamá, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Brasil, Perú, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina... How can I feel alone when my family is so big? And yes: we had feel pain, we had cried, we had lost. But we smile, and sing, and dance. And when a latinoamericano travel the world, he or she only wants to make others countries part of that family. Because ours tears had teached us how to love.

Its such a powerful song and though intended to reflect the Latinamerican life it really is a universal experience . The experience of being oppressed, disregard, of being beaten by society and the rich and powerful. About caring more about profits than people and about not giving up against those odds. About being defiant even at a loss. Like the great Mexican revolutionary Emiliano Zapata said, its better to die standing than living on your knees. ❤

For most of the world, america is not devided into subcontinents, america is the whole land from canada to argentina, and there is struggles inside of the US and Canada too. These places were also invaded and stolen of their resources too. I’m grateful that you shared this video with your audience. Languages have polysemantic words. Can't is a modal verb that means: 1 it's forbidden by a written law, 2 you don't have the ability to do it. Tú no puedes literally means you can't but, in this song it doesn't mean you're banned from acquiring, instead it means you don't have the ability to pay for it. So, Too Long Didn't Read: "Tú no puedes comprar X (the wind, the sun...)" means "you can't afford (the wind, the sun, color, heat...) ".
