hi just to tell you why this guy good voice because several reasons. my BFF from Philippine explain. most singer 1, they do drinking cold drink soda. 2. they do drink ice drink.. no ice. 3. they practice daily day and night KOREAKE. 4... this may intrigue you.. they drinking plenty of warm Ginger fresh ginger tea with fresh green lime and pure honey. YES.. This is their pure secret to maintain their vocal cord and some they seldom sleeping under A/C.

What makes it all the more amazing is that he sings Phonetically because he understands very little English. He was on the Ellen show with his translator. A street kid who made something of himself. BTW the original artist on this was Jennifer Rush. Celine Dion covered it with a remake. The guy has a bi-polar range.

Marcelito never had any voice training. He learned to sing by radio that's why he sings and mimics Celine Dion's voice... speech.

Most of the talented singers from the Philippines don't have voice training. They have pure GOD-GIVEN talent, and if you were talking to Marcelito of voice technique, he wouldn't know what you're talking about because he's one of many that has that gift but never had training. PLENTY OF TALENTED SINGERS FROM PHILIPPINES THAT NEVER HAD TRAINING..... It`s a gift, this was the boy who leaves in the street at the age of seven, just imagine, once a child is a street he could face a lot of scary things, what Pomoy did, he overcomes it by singing, every time he gets scared he sings. He has no vocal training. Apparently, he has no voice lesson. His vocal couches are the mosquitos, flies, the roaring engines of cars, his empty stomach, the cold wind of the night, the nostalgic of his family, his predicament and those people who treat him so bad And the Angels that charge over him by the Almighty God. At the age of 13 he works at the poultry farm he continues his voice lesson and his vocal couches are chickens. wow! is that amazing.? real God-given talent.

He does sound a lot like Celine, but she has a little more of a 'twangy' sound. So does Marcelito, but he has more of a manly twangy sound, if that makes sense. He has also stated that when he was growing up, Celine was his singing hero. I never get tired of listening to him! What a talent. :)

One more thing: Very few vocal coaches never both to notice that he's SITTING DOWN! So if sometimes he sounds a wee bit flat, now you know why. Sitting down takes away about 30% of your all around singing ability. Your entire upper body is compressed like an accordion. It affects resonance, control, etc. I just wish more 'vocal coaches' would actually notice that!
