heard you say it a couple times now and not that you could know but. in Eurovision and national selections (apart from Albania and Italy I think), usually instruments aren't actually played live. in Eurovision it actually isn't allowed; it's mostly for show :)

As we know, the Eurovision Song Contest is unpredictable from year to year. Although she was not among my TOP3 I have no doubt she will do her best to present us in the best possible light. Last year we had a memorable, fast song, so we didn't pass again, and the first semifinal this year is nothing special. I wish her all the best.

First, I must say that I love Mia! This song is in English which is different. She is a Croatian country singer, which is fantastic and from what I’ve found here in Europe kind of rare. Definitely check out some of her other songs. I agree with you on her breath control. The bridge however, I really love the lyrics. For me, the lyrics are coming from someone who is in an unhappy marriage but feels trapped, like she can never get out (there’s no way, she has to stay), but she has fallen for this other guy who she truly loves. Very emotional song, and very beautiful. Taylor Swift is one of her influences and you can definitely feel that, but I prefer her music by far over Taylor’s. People compare it to Willow but I don’t like the song Willow at all and I love this song. It might have the same vibe, kinda, but that’s it. I am supposed to be rooting for Italy during the Eurovision Song Contest, but I have to say that so far this is my favorite song!!!

Its not the guitar, its the style of the riff and the melody. The chorus is very simimiar to willows chorus as well, same chords and all. I almost feel like this was written over willow

Actually, not a lot of croatian like the song😂 you should definitely react to "moli za nas" by Marko bosnjak. This song came second on de National final. A lot of people here in croatia have the feeling that Mia was pushed a lot and that her win was staged a tiny bit😂 what can you say corruption everywhere in this country 😂🤷‍♀️

The day after perfomance, news in Croatia were burning because people accused her of stealing the melody from Taylor Swift's WILLOW. It's a controversy currently, but people are very mad. News titles on many Croatian portals are something like: "We're sending lame version of Taylor Swift on Eurovision. What a shame!"

This is now my favourite song to win Eurovision, so far, as we still have to see many entries. My favourite was "Terra" by Tnaxugueiras (Spain) which did not win the Spanish selection process under very questionable circumstances (won both public votes, but were brought down by the jury). As a vocal coach, I would be very grateful if you could do your reaction on Terra. I can promise you, you will not be disappointed. Nah sorry but you judge her as she is singer from UK or USA. She don't have problem with air control. This is how she wants to sing. That's her style. I made same mistake when I first heard her singing but then I heard other songs of hers and I realized it's just her style. I also was listening her singing Adele's song and she sang it great and without "air control problem" . I agree it's Taylor Swift type of song and that should not have won. There were much better songs on DORA 22 then this. It's just not Eurovision song and Croatia did what we do best. We send wrong songs.

Really!? From the vocal coach I really expected more talk about vocal. The fact that vocal coach talk more about dancer then vocal said much. The same way audience will pay attention on dancer. I'm surprised that she didn't hear Mia's low out of tune singing. She can't reach those low notes and she was going so low because she can't reach high note also. "Nice acoustic guitar sound" is recorded. She was singing on backup track. And you are right about Taylor Swift steeling. Sorry, not a best song from Croatia.
