"unique" is a funny word for generic. Ask your sister, a girlfriend or someone from your school to sing this. You'll have a dozen of girls that will sound exactly like Nicki does here. Her tone is most certainly not unique BUT the vocals were indeed pretty. She's talented.

Better than Selena for sure, but I wouldn't say Britney. She actually used to be very good (you can check out some songs she did when she was still a child) but the thing is, she was singing those in low voice which is her natural voice. But her label pretty much forced her into singing in an unnatural baby voice... Which probably damaged her vocal chords quite a lot. Or at least she can't perform with that voice live
