She is so talented and has a very distinctive and unique voice. I just love her. So sad she doesn't get the recognition she deserves.

I LOVE Cheryl and a decent amount of Nadine’s solo stuff (Kim & Sarah didn’t really go the full solo artist route at the end of the day - a covers album doesn’t cut it) but this couldn’t be closer to the truth. I’M FOREVER ANGRY HOW MUCH HER ALBUM DIDN’T GET THE NUMBERS IT DESERVED

100% agree. Her album is incredible and has stood the test of time. Awesome quirky pop with an experimental element. I feel Nicola stayed so true to the Xenomania girls aloud sound while also giving a huge input to every single track. She knows what the fans want and really showcased her vocals and musical capabilities. Bravo Nicola! and I completely agree with everything you said G! ALSO... WELCOME BACK GIRLBAND THURSDAYS!

Been a stan of Girls Aloud for about a decade and Nicola's album was coming out just when I got into them. I gave her debut a listen and was immediately blown away by her distinctive vocals and how honest her lyrics were. Cinderella's Eyes remains one of my favorite albums to this day!!!
@sammurray3273 жыл бұрын
She was never the weakest. She just wasn't utilized, for whatever reason and it seems they wouldn't let her use her power vocals. I mean, her sweet head voice is just beautiful but clearly she always had more to give. Sarah, Cheryl and Kim were far weaker singers. She really showed her skills when they did covers on tour. Her rendition of What A Feeling was phenomenal not to mention River Deep Mountain High on PSTR.

Hi from Chile. I love Nicola as well. I got to know her and Girls Aloud when I lived in the UK. Nicola is my favourite girl in the band, alongside Cheryl and Kimberly. I also love Nicola´s album. I do listen to it everyweek at least once. Yeak, you are right. I can't believe why the album wasn't bigger. I hope Girls Aloud come back in the near future and I also hope we can have Nicola with new songs.

@4:51 I actually think Nicola Roberts was second best vocally in Girls Aloud, especially if you react to her performances at _~16 years old~_ on _“Popstars: The Rivals”!_ Then eventually, once Nicola came into her own, at times she was even _the best._ 😄🙌🏾👄🎶💎🌟✨

Nicola really proved here you can sing 100% live and still have choreography, not many artists sing live and dance at the same time (some do but not well) but Nicola is very talented shame she wasnt on the same level as Cheryl as a solo artist

Very talented... whilst all the high parts were amazing, what I think its really impressive is when a singer can make themselves heard in those lower parts in pop songs. Lower parts in records are easily heard in records and easily missed "live" version. I love Nicola so much. MORE Music !

"in the beginning, she was one of the weakest" was definitely an exageration, even in your own ranking she was ranked second out of the 5 girls in the beginning, so definitely not one of the weakest. She's definitely improved a lot since, but she was also one of the strongest from the very start.

Agree. If we'd actually got to hear from Nicola more than a couple of lines in a song, we would have easily seen she was the strongest singer. When she sang What A Feeling on tour she blew them all away.

The instrumentation was really weird, I had trouble figuring out which instruments were being used. But the overall song was good. You asked for male singer suggestions yet you haven't featured any yet, even though I have given a few. And here's another one, though he is very different. I don't know his name, I'll look it up. OK. His name is Anthony Vincent. He is a unique artist. Though he has his own singing style he is most famous for copying the styles of ANY artist. For an example watch 10 second songs "Bohemian Rhapsody performed in 42 styles". How he can look at another artist and figure out what makes them unique, and then copy that to replicate their style, is just unbelievable. I never really thought about how one artist/s differs from another, except for those that had extreme differences, until I watched one of his songs sung in multiple styles. Alot of groups just sounded the same until I saw them featured in the same song.

i think her voice has always been amazing but Nadines fitted pop more thats why Nicolas vocals were always in the back of tracks

She's just the best. I'm never sure why people like her don't just release indie stuff. If (ridiculously) commercial success isn't in the cards, don't you want to release music anyway?? Self-release, I dunno!

I know she sang the first part A cappella but then it seemed she went to lip sync and towards the end back to singing live. It was either this or she had vocal enhancements during the middle portion of her performance.

I just don’t think the song, as a lead single, did that much for her. She clearly had plenty of potential, but the chorus of this song just isn’t that good. It’s a shame she didn’t release a second album in the next few years, she could’ve moved on from “L-O-V-E”
