Great reaction. Only downside was the video playback was slowed down making the song sluggish and the voice pitch lower. You may want to check your editing software as I believe this is the second such video. Stay safe 🤘✌

Evidently she uses her false folds to produce the growls. In her early days she had problems with her neck with headbanging, she consulted a Phisio and they worked out that the Windmill effect she uses with her hands braced on her thighs was much safer than standard headbanging which produces the whiplash effect like a car crash would.

About the slowing of the video, I'm guessing that the frame rate of the original video was 25 fps as it was shot in Europe and your video is probably recording at 30p which is 30 fps. If you convert the original 25 fps video to 30 fps, your editing software will add in 5 extra frames every second by duplicating every 5th frame. The result is that playback of the Nightwish video will appear slowed down and the audio track will be stretched to fit the new frame rate. Bottom line: set your camera frame rate at 25 and both your video and the Nightwish one will be in synch. If your camera doesn't have a 25 fps option, then use 24.

@@JacobBurtonStudios I've just been beginning to growl & in not kidding it's an ab workout. I'm not a jerk, I wait until like 10 or 11am at the earliest to start. I've stopped to find both neighbours blasting music to drown me out haha. But singing has been amazing for my posture. I'm 6'1 & was always slouching cos I didn't like my height. But now if I wanna hold those notes or get those growls I have to stand properly. So I force myself to stand like that out in the world & my back has been less with the impinged nerves giving me trouble so it's better than any physio I've done! Now I walk tall. Only took me 40 years lol

You really should double-check the videos you upload. This song also turned out to go more than a couple of bpm slower. Are you mixing 25fps videos into your 24fps reaction, because something is definitely off on your video recording software.

Since the quality of those growls rely more on false folds and pharyngeal anatomy than true cords, does Floor's depth-of-growl imply anything about the pharyngeal space she has, or possibly about the benefits of classical training and laryngeal/pharyngeal anatomic control/voice-placement training as it applies to growl-capability? How about the presence/absence of tonsils? Increased volume should have some correlation to the frequency of that resonant cavity, one would think.

I would imagine that her pharyngeal anatomy would definitely be a contributing factor to how deep of a growl she would be capable of producing!

There’s an up and coming 22-yr old Filipino independent artist that’s making waves. Please react to Ez Mil, Panalo Live on the Wish bus, which has 56 million views in a couple months or his R&B track First & Last. Other big reactors are all over his music. Floor seems too be a bit too stationary at times due to the need of stability, grounding, to hit and sustainably sing her great long notes, otherwise I'm sure she would be around the stage a lot more! Not to mention keeping the audience cooled down with her awesome windmilling!

Great show of Floors and Nightwishs' versatility. Video is slowed down for some silly reason. Wish these slowed versions were purged from the internet. Makes voices off a bit as well as the timing of course. If you get a chance adjust as some suggested or find another version to hear the proper timing.

On Rock in Rio 2015 version the ending growl by Floor you can hear, (and see), better. But otherwise the 'empty barrel' audio quality of the video is bad. Nightwish crew can not be responsible, Brazilian TV I believe. Edit. About Floor's windmilling. Just the other day on a fan recorded video I saw Floor losing her balance a little bit after windmilling. That's the only time I've seen that happen.
