Ratzzzbuh he actually can sing, thank you very much. He carries most of the chorus. He has a very strong voice and when doing acapella or acoustic, you can hear him extremely well. 1D songs would sound wrong without him. People don’t notice him as much bc he doesn’t get as much solos.

My favorite 1D song, Zayn ‘s part is just so beautiful, so beautiful. Zayn’s voice added magic to 1D to me. He has such a powerful instrument. You have to listen to Through the Dark. Doesn’t Zayn’s voice remind you of Steve Perry’s? They made Zayn sound so generic on the albums, but I really think the guys sound better Live. People that say they can’t sing cracks me up?

LITERALLY they made zayn sound so much less diverse than his true ability. like live, zayn always adds insane runs and riffs making the songs that much better, and esp on through the dark live you can hear how z carries the chorus and adds things that can never be heard on the album version

i was a directioner before i became an army and let me tell you that i don’t and will never regret stanning one direction. i may not be that passionate about them anymore but i still listen to their songs and let me tell you that their songs are still insanely good. i’m so glad that you did this reaction especially with this song! you should definitely check out their song called “I Wish”, “More Than This” or “Moments” those songs are my all time favorites of them and i hope that you like them too!

He’s using a head voice variation with falsetto for those high notes. Falsetto is classified as a breathy head voice, different vocalists have different ranges in falsetto, so if falsetto is used to hit high notes, then that’s exactly what they are - high notes.

@@LB-ih7hn I don't care what register he was singing them in. They're still not high notes. The highest note in Liam's phrase is a Bb4. Anything beyond that could be considered a high note for a male singer. However, he didn't go beyond that.

Yes his chest voice cannot do high notes because he’s a lyric baritone, but he has trained his head voice to reach those high notes. I’m not sure why you always want to down grade Liam’s vocal technical proficiency, but its a fact that Liam sings high notes whether you want to accept that or not. I actually love Liam’s lower register, but it doesn’t mean I pretend like his wide vocal range doesn’t exist. If Liam’s over 3 octaves reached no high notes and were just his lower register range, then he’ll be descending close to ‘bass’ territory.

I was solely talking about this song if that wasn't obvious enough. I know how wide Liam's range is and I know how great he is technique wise. But in this song, Liam doesn't have any high notes. I'm going to correct people when they're wrong about stuff. Like when people say Zayn has high notes in Read to Run.

Two reasons why this live performance seems better than recording. To max profits and speed production this album was recorded during tour, in hotel rooms/vans one singer at a time. Best harmonies often in live versions. This performance special (San Siro Arena, Milan) was filmed/recorded for a commercial DVD, so audio much cleaner than many other concert videos.

Thers is a video called "One Direction singing Zayn solo". I thought it was great even though the harmonies siunded orphaned, of course.. First of all sorry for the bad english. I'm taking singing lessons and my lowest note is a low G, and my highest one is a B (1 octave and an half). I've been trying to go higher for maybe 2 years but my teacher says that my larynx goes too high when i sing higher, and I can't control it, my voice gets airy and weak.
