The mv I think is inspired by an albanian legend about a queen, her affair with a man that gets killed, she becomes mad turning into a dragon or something, she takes revenge for her passed lover and then she takes her own life to be with him again. The river we see in this video is also a part of the story somehow, idk. Someone will analyze it better in the comments for sure.

It is the river Vjosa,the last wild river of Europe.It is based on a mythical figure whose name is Vjosa.She turns into a snake at the moment his love is killed.Then she killes everyone including herself.

You didn't get the point actually. She saw the boy and remembered her love in the past. She was a queen falling in love with a soldier (prohibited love) In the moment he gets kill she turns out in a mitology creature in Albania (serpentine) and kills every man. Also has intertwined some of war histories of Albania like princess Argjiro that kills herself not to fall into the hands of the enemy.

Hey The video has a powerful story behind, a legend very well known in Albania. in the end she is transferred in a dragon or as we in Albania call “kucedra” 🐍 a mythical creature whose name Vjosa as the river she shows in the video. Some other clips are from the Argjiro castle where the princess husband was killed and she to protect herself from the enemy jumped off the castel.Ronela believes in destiny and as in the video her love was killed , she had the opportunity to meet him again and that's the part in the beginning when she sees the man and feels a connection.

Practically this is based on a legend that tells the story of a princess who falls in love with a guy but they get caught and once they kill her lover the princess trabsforms into half snake and half human and takes revenge for her love and then reunites with him and than (puff) back to rela life. Thats the meaning of the videoclip

This is my fav song after Italy, but is true that the piece have so many breaks that may make people get out the song. It reminds me 2004 winner Wild Dancers, but in that year they had a different votation system. Anyway it's a clear finalist, even tough many televotes in SF1 will be send to Greece, Norway, Ukraine and The Netherlands.

Ooo nice background! it's cool to switch things up, yeah!:) I agree with you on the 'dance breaks' yeahh; especially the second one throws me off in how it ends that being said, having heard the original on the eurovision spotify quite a few times now, while I wasn't keen on that version at first either now I prefer it over this one hahaha Still, no idea how this'll do in May to be honest. I have a feeling that in which semi they will perform will decide its fate, maybe? Oh god, thinking about the semis makes me sad hahaah:( I always just like too many songs/always feel that (ALMOST...) all artists and their songs deserve to be in the final

well , you made it clear your not a big fan of Albania😅. and it is not a vampire, it is a serpent, in albanian mythology, the girl named Vjosa is transforming in too a serpent after her love gets killed. I think this song is fire. and i am sure you will change your opinion after the ESC live performance. Ronela is one of the best artist Albania has sent so far.

Imo those dance breaks are more for the show, In the Eurovision stage you need everything, voice, music, dancers, stagging to show lots of your culture, tradition, language and whatnot, to the world, and that's what Eurovision is about anyway, I think, Bare in mind the song is just above 3 mins length and isn't easy to showcase.

The lyrics are a bit concentrated on the sensual for the ESC, and thus kind of one-dimensional. It should be epic, but it gets carried away with itself. Possible top 5 though.

Definitely agree that the song is too broken up, it feels like everything changes so abruptly and loses effect. They tried to do a little too much I think. It'll do well in esc based off of beat alone but as a song its patchy

I don't like the fact that the revamp version is mostly in English, it sounds less sincere and less atmospheric, the Albanian lyrics were MUCH better:((( But I still do like the song a lot, currently in my top 10:))

Honestly I'm dissapointed by the revamp. First, I don't like the english, I don't like the "toca, toca" (etc...) part and imo it's messier than before and it also lost his atmosphere... I will always rooting for this bop because Albania finally give us a ethnic bop but yeah I'm dissapointed...
