Ken, Shane McGowan of The Pogues has one of the most sincere and beautiful voices and lyrics to songs that I have ever heard. Shane , as well as his band have paid a very high price to their health for all their magnificent songs and performances and years of touring. It would be really nice to see your reaction to Shane's poetic genius. Thanks for all the outstanding videos. Keep rocking!

I don't think Bill sees it as Stevie making fun of the I know section. I think its more an acknowledgement of Stevies unbelievable talent & even the great Bill Withers is in awe of Stevies ability. That's my interpretation anyway. Even the greats know when they are in the presence of greatness.

You nailed it with the explanation of not "overdoing it" when doing a solo, or riff. Showing off is so annoying. The performer has already proven themselves as to their abilities. That's why they're there. No need to go off on some special version of the song. When they do, they're not only making it about themselves and taking away from the band (should you be performing with one), but in cases like these, you're still disrespecting the original performer (which Stevie does not). Almost like saying, "You think you sang it good? Listen to this!" Total turn off.

You brought up Sir Duke and that opened up so many memories. I bought that song on record when it came out. I had headphones that I would listen to my music on because my parents would always tell me to turn it down. There was a part in the song when you hear Stevie say "yeah" in the background. Every time that would come up I would jump because I thought it was my mom yelling at me. It never failed every time the same thing. So many memories thanks for this one, Ken. Great stuff.

I have just too many good things to say about Stevie Wonder. A genius and flawless performer who owns his audience. I met him by a fluke back in 1983 at a concert in Toronto. He asked me my birthday and felt my face. A memory of a lifetime.

I know this doesn't have much to do with this video and that you get a lot of comments like this, but I want to let you know how helpful your videos are. When I was younger, I could sing tenor. Since I could still sing tenor after puberty, I assumed it would last, so I thought of myself as a tenor. As time went by, I slowly realized that I couldn't sing as high until I finally had to admit I wasn't a tenor anymore. I had heard of your channel, so I looked you up and watched many of your videos in hopes of learning how to get my range back. I decided to start practicing singing, although I haven't been consistent. But tonight, I was singing along with music and found that I could sing tenor again. I couldn't hit most of the high notes (although I was a low tenor to begin with, so I never really could hit them), but I could sing higher than I have been able to. I wouldn't have been able to do that without your videos. More than just range, my technique has improved as well. So thanks for all the work you do, and God bless you! Now that I've finished with my "your-videos-are-so-awesome-I'm-your-biggest-fan" spell, I should also mention that this was a good video.

Ken, I have someone that I think will blow you away. Her name is Angelina Jordan and she is from Norway. She is only 9 years old in this performance, but don't let the age fool you. The amount of old-soul jazz she puts on these vocals is astonishing. I have been around for many years and have seen a lot of singers come and go, but this girl is something very special and rare. At 13, she has done over a 100 covers ranging from classic jazz to modern pop, and she does them all with her own jazzy/bluesy style (she could do Amy Winehouse songs at 10 that will make your jaw drop)... anyway I really hope you can check her out. I'd love to hear what you think: Angelina Jordan - "I Put A Spell On You": kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKipnaJ5hb2tedU
