The German language is famous for combining two or more words that make sense. In English they would be separate. So for instance Rhubarb Bar Barbararian‘s Beard Barber (or the Barber who takes care of the Barbarian‘s Beards that like to go to Barbara‘s Bar that serves Rhubarb pie) ends up in Barbaras Rhabarberbar Barbarenbart Barbier. Sure, Bodo Wartke is famous using great music combined with tongue twisters.

German is my first language(we’ll actually Austrian, but let’s not split hairs), though I grew up in Southern California. While I’m still fluent, this song has taught me some phrasing that only a 24/7 native speaker would know. I just saw a Viennese Dialect version of the song, wish my Dad was still around to enjoy it.
@Dodl17 ай бұрын
Okay, yes, thanks for the nice reaction. As Austrian I indeed can help you. The tounge twister is based on the fact that you can put together near random nouns and make a new word out of it in german. So rhubarb cake in English stay separated words, even when joined to mean the finished cake, but in German Rhabarber (=Rhubarb) and Kuchen (=cake or pie) together make Rhabarberkuchen (Rhubarb cake). And you can join more nouns to it to make long funny words like "Rhabarbarbarbarbaren" (Rhabarber + Bar + Barbaren), it's additionally funny because parts of the word interject each others meaning then, making the name "Barbara" part of the naming without actually being the word its named after - or you can join it too and it makes "Rhabarberbarbarabarbarbaren" (Rhabarber +Barbara + Bar + Barbaren), any questions?
@marcuscyron73827 ай бұрын

I am her biggest fan and i was at two of her concerts and she sung it life. (It is not her song she just Covers it). It was so beautiful i started crying.
