Love that you understand how beautiful and amazing V's vocal ability is. His's musical direction. Loved your reaction. Waiting for all the rest of your reaction and comments to V's solo work and please watch other solo performance related to his album because each one is slightly different. So proud of V's courage to move in his favoured musical direction. I feel he took a gamble after BTS emphasis on falsettos and belting in their vocals members. That he risked everything for his music and keep to that path makes me so proud of his work. Yes GORGEOUS 🥰

Taehyung's relationship with his entire team (actors, dancers, the band, the staff) left me even more in love with that beautiful man🥹❤️ It's so cute to see him interact with everyone so naturally and so close. The work environment stops being work with him around, Taehyung makes people feel comfortable with him. He's someone so warm, with so much charisma, that his joy and enthusiasm is contagious, it's impossible not to adore him, not to smile when you see him happy, know someone like him or more precisely him is to win in life. More than co-workers, they end up becoming a beautiful family, who welcomed Taehyung and made him feel free, he enjoyed working with them so much that it comes across the screen. I can only thank the entire team who was with him for treating Taehyung with respect and affection, the result of that was seeing him with a beautiful smile in each behind-the-scenes video, sharing moments with the team, having a good time, and creating beautiful memories 🥹❤️

I love that you are doing a reaction to the tiny desk. Taehyung live vocals are always better because he does add some nuances thst are lost in the studio version. The tiny desk is really great in showcasing Tae's love of music, especially jazz and soul/ R&B, and his respect for musicians in general. I'm also glad you can hear Taehyung's speaking voice in the tiny desk. He gets a little shy, but speaks from the heart and is mostly soft spoken .

Ahh V's Layover album is a masterpiece. So glad you are enjoying the laid-back style that speaks to the true Kim TaeHyung. Wait until you see more. The album is meant to be listened to in order and there are MVs for each song that tell their own visual story. I have seen so many reactors commenting on how they now understand that V/TaeHyung is really a musician at heart and not just a singer. His promotions for the album really focused on live performances so there are a ton to review and it is amazing how consistent he sounds in each performance. Just yummy. He also did a cute live promotion where he did 20-second performances for individual people on an itty bitty stage. So Kim TaeHyung of him. Also, check out his performances on IU's KZbin show IU's Palette. He does a duet with IU called Ending Scene which is so good.

I don't know why because I'm not an expert, but I love Taehyung's voice because it's so comforting to hear him and his singing voice, so I was very interested in the expert's careful explanation. I enjoyed watching his other band session live shows at Tiny Disc Korea, all of which were very nice and showed how much he loves and cares about his music even in his first solo debut.

Taehyung's music is meant for people who like to listen to good music. Period. In his solo work, Kim Taehyung has not been flashy; he has simply delivered flawless vocal performance after flawless vocal performance. V has really impressed me also with how much he has worked to improve his vocal range and quality over the years. It is a shame that he had to do mandatory SK military service right now, as he is at the top of his game singing and performance-wise.

💜 This is exactly how I feel about Taehyung..For me his is my favorite male voice in my world! I knew he’d be “bluesy & RB” with his solo cause that is our Old Soul! Love older music he was raised from around birth to 14 by his grandparents then 2 yrs later he was a KPop trainee! I agree with your description of his voice. Truly the most beautiful sound your ears will hear…..Soul soothing! Loved seeing you 💜 him.

Taehyung really loves jazz as well -- I highly recommend you listen to "Le Jazz De V" -- a special performance video he made for ARMY where he sang two jazz standards. I think you would absolutely adore it. His vocals were amazing, and the band was also amazing!

Мне очень нравится как поёт V , мне очень нравится его голос, было интересно послушать мнение специалиста в области вокала и понять на сколько сложный инструмент голос.

V is very much into "oldies". He often dresses in ties and suits, and his style of music is very much jazz and bossa nova. He used to learn the sax and more recently took lessons in the trumpet.

V's voice is absolutely gorgeous, I felt in love with it after I've heard singularity and since then I am stuck with his songs :) I am glad he sticks to his type of music with this album (jazz, neo soul, RnB), definitely my taste. That's maybe why I gravitate to V's music the most. Thank you!

V told us that jazz is complex and today’s listener might find it too complex to understand. So he decided to make it listener friendly by adding elements into the R&b, pop elements. This album is to showcase music V likes, he wanted to show a side of him with each album (Layover). Layover is all about a vibe, music V likes and introducing the public to jazz in a contemporary way. He also gives space to musicians, he allows the band to showcase their talents, a true musician’s musician. You really need to check out his live version at music shows and also his MV’s to get the full understanding of his music. Also you really should check out V’s Christmas tree (not a Christmas song) and Snowflower. His vocals on Christmas tree are sublime. Sam, you should also check out his ‘le jazz de v’ he sang 2 jazz standards.

Tae's entire album Layover has this same vibe...chill songs that are all very jazzy, bluesy, etc. It is the type of music he especially loves.

Tae is just this wonderful human being that made an album of music he likes his type of music. Didn't care if it did well (I mean I'm sure he did but ...) he just wanted what he wanted and he is just perfection personified. It's helps me appreciate V's singing so much more when you point out all that he is doing technically. Of course he has the gift of a wonderful tone to start, but I tend to forget how much BTS has worked on their singing. We see videos of them practicing dancing, but I haven't come across many videos of them taking singing lessons. But clearly 10 years of vocal lessons have put all of them in another league. I also love the jazz vibe, hope to see lots more after his military service is completed. Thanks for your reaction, off to the second song of the set!

For me, the songs that V sings are very soothing, try listening to the song when you want to sleep, or you need relaxation. V is a baritone but has a unique range, he can reach high notes with his beautiful valseto voice, you can listen to him in one of his songs, "Stigma" some of Old Solo V's songs: 1. winter bear 2. If you want to hear him doing more jazz, there's a video called Le Jazz de V, where he does both a lovely cover of It's beginning to look a lot like christmas as well as a STUNNING duet cover of Cheek to Cheek! The female singer for Cheek to Cheek in that performance is also fantastic!

After the Tiny Desk I recommend you Le Jazz de V (it's on BangtanTV), there V performs 2 covers, one of them Cheek to cheek which was also performed by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.

Now a days, it’s all about high notes and pop, electronic and dance music. Everyone is always looking for the high notes. Even though V has the range, effects and capability to sing the high notes, I love that V serves THE SONG/LYRICS. When artists are about the high notes, to me it feels like they serve THE ARTIST. I love that V is subtle and selective about the high notes. It really allows us to focus on the Lyrics and the musicality of the song instead of serving the current trends and demands. It’s what BTS was all about from the beginning, serving the lyrics. Unfortunately, they have veered away from that recently with their poppy English songs. By the way, it’s ok if you have a fav as a vocal coach. All the KZbin vocal coach reactors have one and you can have a bias within bts.

Please do listen to other songs from Layover n other songs like Singularity, Stigma, Christmas tree. His songs are quite diff from kpop n its very comforting. Being a non k-pop person just loved his album.

I wish that you had reacted to this earlier! Your descriptions and explanation are so detailed and informative as usual! There was a BTS interview clip a while back where the English translation in the subtitles differed from what the BTS member relayed about V's voice. The member said that the vocal coach had described V as swallowing his notes rather than projecting them. That was such an interesting description that the imagery stuck with me. Your description of his larynx placement and his approach to vowel sounds in a fuller, more rounded way reminds me of that! Thank you for this reaction! 💜
